Feedback appreciated - It was a harsh light today. Is exposure and contrast right?
A couple of shots again. I am a little worried about the lighting on the upper part of the wing and the tail. Is it acceptable? https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/49514415403/in/album-72157709701065907/ The same questions goes for the heli: https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/4951493348...Jump to post
Thanks again for your answers. I managed to sell the unused objectives and other stuff, so it is about time make the purchase. Has any of you tried to use the 70-200mm with a tc? If yes, how was the results? A little funny development in my considerations is, that I have been offered a 4 years old N...Jump to post
The photos posted earlier in this thread are amazing, quite intimidating actually ;-) For me 2019 was an incredible year. 25 photos accepted into the database after a brief hiatus of 7 years. Lots of frustration, rejections and a steep learning curve, but thanks to a bunch of people here it is getti...Jump to post
Maybe this is a better position in frame?
Thanks Jehan, I made som changes based on your feedback and the image got accepted (the EasyJet). Thank you for taking your time. This one is an older image from 2012, I am a bit unsure about the quality: https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/49477579671/in/album-72157710437537576/ Regards, ReneJump to post
Thanks Jehan. I reduced the contrast and the sharpness a bit, does it work better now? https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/49402659598/in/album-72157710437537576/ Is this one oversharpened too? https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/49403324552/in/album-72157710437537576/ Do you only look f...Jump to post
This time with working links:

Advice would be appreciated, hope the sharpening works better now.
Rejected for soft:
I have this photo in the DB:
Thank you for the advice, dutch and Jehan.
It looks like the Nikon 70-200 mm is a good choice.
I have read a few reviews that found the lens to be sharp in the middle but somewhat unsharp towards the edges. Anything you have noted?
Thanks, very much appreciated. Just to clear up the whole batch: This one got the size/ soft rejection too https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/1/9/3/5816391.jpg?v=v479a042659c. https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/1/9/3/5816391.jpg?v=v479a042659c This one was rejected for motive...Jump to post
Thanks Kaz. For some reason I can not link to my rejected photos, so flickr will have to do. All these photos were originally rejected for soft. Only thing I added was a bit more sharpening. https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/49311190538/in/album-72157710437537576/ Now rejected for blurry, si...Jump to post

As much as I like my 200-500mm , I have come to realize that ramp shots and side-on shots can be difficult even at 200mm. My plan is to purchace something like Nikon 70-200 mm f2.8or the new Sigma 70-200mm f2.8, to be used on my D500. Feed-back from photogs that have experience with the lenses would...Jump to post
Hello Rene: My thoughts: #1: Cannot access the image from the link. It says it may have been removed. #2: SAS A320: Has a blue color cast, over saturated and needs CW rotation. #3: Icelandic B757: Looks over saturated. Needs CW rotation (per the fence posts). Also looks blue. #4: Aeroflot B738: Blu...Jump to post
one more, this time an attempt at a nose-shot:
Agree with Jehan regarding the Nikon setup, the 200-500 is a very good one for the price. I use it for aviation and wildlife. For me its a D500 instead of the D850, so I can not comment on the D850. Regarding the mirrorless road: I do own a Z7 and you can buy it with a good discount from me. When us...Jump to post
The light should be better now. I hope the edits are closer to acceptable (edited as the Singapore Airlines A350 was forgotten): https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/49199642622/in/album-72157710437537576/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/49198946803/in/album-72157710437537576/ https:/...Jump to post
Hope you can help. I would very much like to add this A-350 to the collection, but I am not quite happy with the result yet.
What am I missing?
A new one if someone has time to spare.
Does it need more contrast?
Thanks harry, it helps a lot.
The position in frame will be adjusted, no problem.
The white airframe causes me some problems, as the difference between correct exposure and over-exposure seem to be pretty narrow.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
One more from the same day:
I still seem to struggle with the editing. What do you think of this photo?
Hi Jehan Absolutely a great help! I dont think the Hawk is getting much better considering the backlight. The lighting was sh....y at the airshow, actually the same day as the KZ-II was shot. The Hawk will be binned and I give the KZ-II one more try. It is a rare bird, but I don't know if it is rare...Jump to post
Hi, Thank you for the heads up, I hope it works now. This photo was rejected for low contrast, the personal message was “Contrast is fully off” (which I am not sure I understand the meaning off, as the contrast in lightroom is at 70% on): https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/48774790332/in/albu...Jump to post

You are right. Lesson learnt, avoid the blue hour....but it's never bad to challenge ones own abilities.
Thank you for the time spent and feedback, Kaz and others.
Thanks Jehan and Kaz,
The MF17 went into the bin.
What about the 2 airliners, are they passable or still a bit cyan?
Thanks Starfuryt and Kas,
I'll add some sharpening to the Eurowings.
You are spot- on target Kas, both photos were shot during the blue hour. Perhaps a little tweak in colours are possible, but man it's a learning process with those dusk/ night shots!
Thank you for the feedback, Jehan.
I'll post the new edits when I am released off family duties.
EKCH last night, 29.th of august, my first real attempt at capturing photos at night. Not easy!
Is the quality okay?
This photo was rejected for distance and underexposure: https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/48567318616/in/photostream/ I wasn't aware that the rules in the Photo Acceptance guide were changed, so it was accidently uploaded in the creative que. My mistake. I have made a new edit, is that close...Jump to post
A few photos from the Air Show at Roskilde airport in Denmark. Would the signature in the lower right corner be acceptable? Would this qualify as creative?: https://www.flickr.com/photos/wendt_image/48567318616/in/photostream/ I think these two photos are quite nice, but the weather was poor and the...Jump to post
