Goodbye Airliners.net - How to ask for Account Deletion

After 19 years of using Airliners.net, I have decided I want to leave. I disagree with some of the forum rules, and I disagree with the way Moderation is done on this site. So it is time to leave, like others have done before, while others join. Its the way it is. I want to say thank you for everyon...

This is a serious issue we also have in Germany. While I understand and support the general principle that in a state based on the rules of law, the authorities need a legal basis for being able to act and warn when this has implications, this has been misused as a protection of businesses against t...

Well, since Germany already shot 2 SM-2 missiles at the US drone some weeks ago , I tend to agree I would not really want to fly in that region, even though I should be safe with the transponder on (didnt help MH-17 though, either).

A runway between 130 and (I believe) 139 degrees direction is getting the "13" designation. I think the designation will be rounded to the next ten: Anything between 125,0 to 134,9° will get 13. Found an example. EWRs runways 22/4 are 218,5°/038,5° and 11/29 is 107,7°/287,7° You are right...

EDDK / CGN getting new runway designators 13L/31R 13R/31L

As most of you probably are aware, runway "names" are designated after their magnetic direction. A runway between 130 and (I believe) 139 degrees direction is getting the "13" designation. Since it is relative to magnetic north, it is subject to change, and this is happening in C...

Also, it is quite interesting to see how short the production life of some old plane designs actually were. Lets take the Boeing 727 - it was built from 1962 to 1984, so just 22 years including all derivatives. The 757: 1981 to 2004, so just 23 years. If we now take the A320ceo, it was built from 19...

The quesition on a clean sheet design, however, would be: Will it be revolutionary? Obviously we will se an entirely new IT infrastructure, systems designs, and so...

It is even more extreme for BEVs. Ford is buying the MEB platform from VW, so most Ford EVs will be based on VW. Not that new, already the VW Sharan and Ford Galaxy were based on the same platform, but you see the point. Funny enough, VW revived the RWD for the MEB ID Series.
