I am 90% sure that Alaska has the only level D MAX sim in the states. I think that this is also the one they used for the FAA tests.
The Dash 8 has an Ice Impact sheet attached to the fuselage in the prop arc to catch I chunks slung from the blades....nothing to do with armor for the blades. Also thought ALaska announced a suspension of anc-dut. If penair is still selling it it will have to be at risk flying.Jump to post
Here is the Idaho at Penn State flight....
I would not walk from the cell lot to the airport. The only "Safe" way to do that would be to walk over to international and go through the light rail station. I wold just have your other person drop you off and circle around tot he cell lot....Much safer and easier.Jump to post
Didn’t AS say somewhere that they were all-in on the MAX? What would they lose if they cancelled their 321 order (which was originally a VX order, if I’m not mistaken)? Just my opinion (flame me if you feel you need to...seems to be a trend on a.net), but I can see them going back to an all-737 fle...Jump to post
Pretty sure Alaska is entering contract negotiations and that Scope is top of that list. QX has a bunch of 175's that have been upped to the 89K weight limit which has really rung the alarm bells. I am sure the 175E2 is dead in the US. No pilot group has any reason to give in on the Scope arguement...Jump to post

The SEA-SMF-OGG is a scheduled route and not an added tech stop.Jump to post
As a Compass Pilot and a previous US/AA wholly owned pilot I can say that unless AA is ready to pay an exorbitant amount to buy out the contract those 20 Planes will not be going back to MQ until 2020's when the contract is expired. Compass is hitting all service goals for AA and they love not havin...Jump to post
From my time operating into and out of BGM the problem would be where the runways intersect. I think it takes the 5000 and shortens it around a 1000' with clearance penalties.Jump to post

Food for thought is that Compass will be opening a crew base in Seattle starting June 1st. Be interesting to see where the aircraft are redeployed after the 717 comes on line on the west coast. there has efinetly been a major influx of them in <acronym title="Minneapolis / St. Paul - International /...Jump to post
I can see the 717 causing issues with the scheduled 25 minute turn times they were scheduling for a while as well as the food and beverage service that is required for the shuttle flights. That being said I think that the 717 is a great airplane and since it has been working on the east coast then p...Jump to post

Hey all as an EX- Piedmonster let me set a few things straight from when i left which was less than a year ago. One of the biggest detractions for the ATR from everything that the managers said when i was around was the rear boarding door, lack of APU and lack of experience with the type. The Q400 w...Jump to post
