I am 90% sure that Alaska has the only level D MAX sim in the states. I think that this is also the one they used for the FAA tests.

The new routing for CDB is going to be ANC-CDB-ADK-CDB-ANC twice a week. all you really need is a Dhc8-100/200 from CDB-DUT

Compass had a hanger they built specifically for themselves in SDF. That was sold to republic a few years ago when the entire operation was moved west.

Alaska’s 73F’s were grounded for a few days and now are operating with reduced payload due to IAI conversion problems with 9G bulkhead.....this can add to the Amazon 738 issues.

The Dash 8 has an Ice Impact sheet attached to the fuselage in the prop arc to catch I chunks slung from the blades....nothing to do with armor for the blades. Also thought ALaska announced a suspension of anc-dut. If penair is still selling it it will have to be at risk flying.

Actually I know WSU charters out of KPUW on a 738. Although KPUW is building a new runway and there was going to be a month where the airport was closed, not sure if this has happened yet.

I would not walk from the cell lot to the airport. The only "Safe" way to do that would be to walk over to international and go through the light rail station. I wold just have your other person drop you off and circle around tot he cell lot....Much safer and easier.

The Hawaii service that was removed from BLI is being transferred to Seattle. It will be three daily to HNL and OGG if I remember correctly. There have been no rumblings about Hawai’i or 737 service from PAE.

Didn’t AS say somewhere that they were all-in on the MAX? What would they lose if they cancelled their 321 order (which was originally a VX order, if I’m not mistaken)? Pretty sure Alaska is entering contract negotiations and that Scope is top of that list. QX has a bunch of 175's that have been upped to the 89K weight limit which has really rung the alarm bells. I am sure the 175E2 is dead in the US. No pilot group has any reason to give in on the Scope arguement...

Many airlines paint the version of the aircraft on the nose doors or on the nose. I.e. 737-800 usually you would see 800 on the nose or nose gear doors.

I know there has been talk about the Eagle SFO flights starting to use a gate in either T4 or T5. It would be a dedicated gate for the SFO flights I.e gate 30 in T3 for Delta.

Iam pretty sure the Compass contract is signed into the 2020's. good news for Envoy and am glad that the flying in MIA is not coming at the expense of a different regional.

As a Compass Pilot and a previous US/AA wholly owned pilot I can say that unless AA is ready to pay an exorbitant amount to buy out the contract those 20 Planes will not be going back to MQ until 2020's when the contract is expired. Compass is hitting all service goals for AA and they love not havin...

From my time operating into and out of BGM the problem would be where the runways intersect. I think it takes the 5000 and shortens it around a 1000' with clearance penalties.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them utilize the act as a LGA-BTV-Somewhere else Either CLT/ORD potentially? Trans-States does this with some of their UA flying mainly a IAD-MDT-ORD flight.

They could always spend the money to upgrade compass's 175s to RNP and HUDS which they are already wired for. Delta owns those 175 and they have the equipment for dual HUDS.

The Compass 175's have the ability to mount HUDS on both the FO and Captain side. The HUDS are just not installed.

Going into Juneau Ketchikan and Sitka I think the 170 has it hands down...I personally like the 170 much better than the CRJ series for pax comfort.

I second what Schwiegend said I pulled into A10 tonight and there were only two left on the gates all covers were off and there were Mx trucks near by. I was down about a week ago and the whole A terminal was full with sealed up ERJ.

Yes the 124 usually picks up helicopters and then flys out. Last time it was there was this summer and it picked up a couple of Canadian Helicopterss S-92. It was pretty interesting to see them have their blades removed and then rolled on in.

If you think the -300 is a dog you have never flown a -100. I love flying the -300 as it can take like you said a full boat I guess bigger engines can help but i have never really had an issue with the APU on the -300.
