To me, the goal should be better education, rehabilitation and training to help make it safer across the profession. Swinging a stick for punishment isn't always the most effective. You cannot get a private pilot certificate without knowing that 0.04 BAC and 8 hours bottle-to-throttle is the standa...

Re: WN Captain Gives Shirt to Woman denied boarding.

What is wrong with an airline that enforces a dress code of what it considers to be decent? If they required a suit for first-class suits in A380s like EK and SQ have, would you object if they kicked out a rich kid with a Supreme t-shirt? Probably not. They have a policy, they enforce it. Let's say Lion Air crash was caused by bad data fed to MCAS. Immediately after the crash everyone ( airlines, pilots, aviation enthusiasts ) knew about the MCAS system. Every MAX operator should have immediately informed/trained their pilots what to do in case of such a failure. There is enough tim...

There are two pilots in the cockpit. Could well be that the first officer was performing the landing at the time. In cruise, there is no issue with fiddling with the camera. Boeing 737 is not certified as a one-pilot plane. Did you read my post? I said that there were 2 pilots, and that the copilot...

On a slightly different note, I do expect the era of tri/quad-holers to come back. When aircraft start switching to electric/electric-hybrid, I do anticipate more motors. The trijets went away because a twin is inherently more efficient than 3 or 4 engines. Two engines will burn less fuel for the same thrust output just by virtue of the lessened complexity.
