I like it. To me the blue colors they used are more in line with the blue tulip blues. Truthfully i feel like minus the globe this is what the pre-merger United would have looked like today. It is more of a safe rebrand versus some trainwreck overhaul like we've seen with other airlines. Remember th...Jump to post
UA has been operating 757s with different engine manufacturers since the merger. There's the pmUA 752s with Pratts and the pmCO 752s and 753s with RB211s. Not to mention 777-200s powered by Pratt (pmUA) and GE (pmCO) I know they run both 757s and 777s. I've flown on both types of each model. The Pr...Jump to post
Here is a link for which EasyJet A319s United will be receiving. Still very very odd that they're going to pick up CFM powered A319s

Any possibility of additional EWR flying? PIE, SFB, SJU, LAS Or AUS? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I had asked about the possibility of EWR-PIE. And in general the reason they're not growing more out of EWR was because it is a slot controlled airport and G4 tends to not be on time. I guess EWR...Jump to post
Does anyone have any info on RP-C3437 from Philippine Air Lines. I caught it last week on FR24 flying SFO-SFB, presumably for retirement.

Here is my 2¢
JetBlue should order the A321xlr and test the market out. If it goes well then they can upgrade and get A330s and if it doesn't then they can roll the XLRs into standard service and maybe serve Hawaii from Cali or South America from FLL if Europe doesn't pan out
Also looks like MSY becomes a base and PIE drops PVD Do you know if this is official??? Where did you bear about MSY becoming a base?? PIE-PVD is not shown on the route map anymore, so I looked to book it and it's fully unavailable. MSY on their route map went from being a blue dot city to a gold d...Jump to post
They didn't have enough people to fill the flight to YYZ. The flight cancelled yesterday here in PIE and this morning it had 170 people go out on it.Jump to post
Calendar 2018 pax numbers are in, and traffic is up 8.5% to 21,289,390, according to the TPA IG account. Great numbers! Awesome! Can't wait to see the breakdown soon. I know it's going to be awhile, but next up 25M passengers. Also TPA's website now has airlines flight schedules broken down by citi...Jump to post
Curious - what do the a.net analysts think of the possibility of Moxy's big hub being in Salt Lake City? I seem to recall that's where a lot of the initial work is being done there. I'm not sure how large of a market is available out West. I've always been told that Allegiant focuses on the East co...Jump to post
With Moxy getting 60 A220s, where do you think there hub or hubs will be and what would the first routes be? Given everything we know about them, and the staff they are hiring, it's going to be G4 v.2.0. So there will be whatever you call SFB/LAS/etc for Allegiant. I would call them hubs in the ope...Jump to post
Here is Flair's first 737-800
Here is another carrier I question. Canada Jetlines. Per their website show in the second phase of growth they'll add Tampa as a market. Curious if they'll choose TPA or PIE. This carrier has definitely been under my radar.
Contour is adding BKW and CLT to their recent announcement of Macon, which now seems to have gone seasonal. https://www.register-herald.com/news/money/beckley-gets-jet-service/article_22c32545-a4fd-5f34-9098-37700611d0fb.html MCN was always announced as seasonal through end of February. And BKW isn...Jump to post

My question is now that they're wrapping up the A340 operation within Cityline, what is the advantage of operating A319s under the Cityline group. It made sense when they still ran Dash 8s and CRJs as a regional carrier but to continue from here on out as an A319/CR9 carrier?Jump to post
Out of the four options they put up to vote I thought what they went with was the best. I like it, I didn't think they originally livery needed to be refreshed but they killed it when they went to the small title font on the forward fuselage. So albeit the new livery is odd it'll grow on me. I hope ...Jump to post
For some reason I cannot use the Search This Forum bar. It's been out for 5 days for me where it only shows results up to the 25th. Ive tried on multiple computers/devices. N241NV may have been pushed into service earlier than desired due to the delayed induction of other aircraft. That might explain the hybrid livery. If they are repainting the Make-A-Wish aircraft N218NV and adding N271NV in a Winter the dolphin livery, they don't seem afraid to spend money on paint...Jump to post
My idea is now that Norweigian is entering the LGW-TPA market could Tampa sustain both LGW and an additional LHR flight? LGW remain the leisure flight while a LHR flight be more for business and a higher class product? If LH is switching to mainline to provide that higher product would BA be daring ...Jump to post

SFB is the remaining MD80 base. All the 80 pilots are there. We have 1 MD80 at PIE, we've had 864 lately. It has been our hot spare, when they want to use it that have to send a crew from SFBJump to post
Tampa doesn't really have the space to fit 15 based aircraft. Allegiant has its roots pretty deep at PIE. A handful of maintenance is performed there. Allegiant is well is planning on building a facility roughly 30k square feet at PIE. The ground breaking will be this month or next month. Yes, I ke...Jump to post
