According to the @Airlineroute Twitter handle, the 789 LHR flights have now been extended as far as 28 OCT 17. If correct it's interesting that AF will deploy the type on this route for such a length of time. Must be lots of crew to get trained!

So is this the first flight for Europe short haul flight first before these 787's moving onto long haul? No, BA will have done some when they had theirs some time ago, but they may not have been the first. It's definitely not the first European 787 flights. I know Norwegian operated the 787-8's bet...

Air France will operate the Boeing 787-9 between Paris CDG and London Heathrow every day except Wednesdays between 6th Feb and 25 Mar 2017. Believe this is for crew training and type familiarisation. Similar to the A380 flights they did in 2010.
