I may be being cynical. I am sure Connect will emerge from the ashes and buy some of the Flybe fleet. I cant help but think it has been left to rot with a large fleet and debts while the government sort out APD
Jump to postI have to say I am a little disappointed that the MAN route is ending as it was a great flight, always busy and I much prefer the ATR to the Dash 8 I am very interested to see where Stobart Air will deploy these aircraft moving forward and what their future is. Jump to postIt would be great if it was the same as the T5 as its so easy to board and disembark. Using steps would just be moving backwards its like you are cattle.
Jump to postAs sensationalist exaggerations go, the thread title is right up there. Flybe have swapped a Q400 onto Glasgow-Manchester and there is now an Eastern 170 on Aberdeen-LCY. It doesn't look like Eastern have been "kicked out" and there is nothing in it for Loganair either? You will just have...
Jump to postFlight crew on both my flights yesterday. Flybe operate the MAN-GLA route now. Its not galley talk either otherwise the route would be shared between FlyBe and Eastern.
If you check the routes the MAN-GLA are all Q400 now.
Flybe have ended their arrangement with Eastern Airways. Eastern took over the franchise in September 2017 operating routes across Scotland on behalf of Flybe, it seems this did not go well as they were constantly cancelling flights an not operating routes in line with the timetable. As such Flybe a...

Sad time for all, hopefully EK will work with them to firm up a new order soon.
Wow what a sad day. Is there fleet worthy of an acquisition? Maybe TCX or U2. What about Norwegian?
Jump to postI fly the MAN - GLA three times a month. I have flew Eastern and Logan. Flew back Tuesday night on Eastern with 19PAX on the Saab 2000 Logan was a lighter load. New fly through of the new MAN
Interesting in this there are only two new piers. T1 still seems to be in situ and it doesn't look as though the T2 current checkin area is getting a refresh!
Great news for TCX and for MAN hopefully if USBPC is approved for MAN these routes would be even more appealing.
Does anybody know if another aircraft has been sourced and if so where from? Surely this strengthens the need for a new fleet of 330's now!!
Is it likely that MT are going to order a new fleet of A330's? I know some of their birds are getting old now and running into mx issues often. The cabin refresh is great but surely they must be thinking they need to start investing in new aircraft soon especially with the lead time on deliveries. ...

Long haul will no longer exist and the 757's are to be retired.
Would the European Charter carriers see a need for a 777, If they could get them at a reduced price they could be able to fill them up on trips to Orlando or other load heavy bucket and spade destinations.
That said it could be too much of an aircraft for a charter operator.
This is being reported by the BBC also.
