Re: 'Newbie' - Basic Quality Comparison Question

This very same discussion about retina/HiDPI screens been brought several times in the past and I don't think there's any workaround to properly evaluate sharpness other than using a lower PPI screen. Retina/HiDPI have smaller pixels and a higher pixel density so the human eye can't really see the i...

Re: Editing on a Retina display?

It's really difficult to judge sharpness at such high PPI count, you can try to zoom at 200% in Photoshop but that will bring other issues as each pixel will be a block of 4 pixels in the screen.

From my experience I think you'd better off getting an external monitor that offers around 90-110PPI.

Re: Nikon D600 in 2019

Hi Daniel, D600 isn't great at focusing on low-light situations so while ISO performance should be decent I think you'll struggle with autofocus specially if you're planning on shooting it paired with a f/5.6 lens, personally I'd save for a D750 as that'll give you better value for money and nowaday...

Re: IAG to buy Air Europa for €1 billion

According to spanish media (https://www.elconfidencial.com/empresas/2019-11-05/iberia-bate-air-france-compra-air-europa-cheque-ingles-expres_2313364/) seems that AF-KLM was quite close to acquire 20% of Air Europa for EUR200M with an option to buy the rest of the airline over the next 5 years and th...

Re: Any Fuji Shooters in here?

Maybe a good idea to try to message photographers using Fujifilm to get some feedback, while displaying EXIF info is optional and search doesn't allow to filter by make and model you can try the Google search query below to find them, site:airliners.net make fujifilm For example the photo below was ...

As per MIDT 2017 data it's BKK by a very large margin (100K indirect passengers) and then around 20-30K pax you got SIN, SYD, KUL, HAN, CAN, IKA, MCO and LAS.

Re: Iberia adds more flights to Latin America

[ Anyways, what's the level of cooperation between Avianca and Iberia? As far as I know, I am pretty sure they codeshare quite a lot, so maybe Iberia does not see any need to serve with its own metal what they already reach via codesharing flights with AV? AV (Colombia) and IB reciprocally codeshar...

Re: Iberia adds more flights to Latin America

N for the Routes to USA/CAN maybe PHL,DTW, IAD, SEA...3/4 weekly could work with the newer 321lr in the East coast PHL is already served in the JV by AA, IAD maybe during the peak summer but I don't see SEA or DTW working at all from MAD. A321LR is ok to the US East coast from northern european mar...

Re: Iberia adds more flights to Latin America

The well being of Iberia's staff is not the decision behind the cancellation of planned service to MGA, as you well say, layover would have been in Guatemala City where Iberia already operates. Any prospect of business that propelled this flight have evaporated and will remain next to nonexistent u...

Re: Level to receive an A321 (ex Niki)?

Only time will tell if IAG decides to replace the Vueling brand with LEVEL but at the moment the reason why those 3 aircraft are going under a different AOC and brand is that Vueling pilot contract, collective bargaining agreement as per spanish work regulations, has a clause where any bases outside...

Re: Iberia first A350 destinations?

You can see below the slide that Iberia presented outlining the changes in the new 280t variant which I think that are the same that are expected for the ULR version sans the additional fuel capacity. Even tho that up to 280t is available Iberia will certify their A350-900 with a 275t MTOW which see...

Re: IB A350's with 348 seats

It is the highest density of any 9 abreast configuration. Assuming those 31C are in front of door 2, there are a lot of seats cramped in between door 2 and 4. The 24 PE are real premium economy of probably 3 rows of 8 taking up space of 4 rows of 9 economy. If you add these theoretical 36 to 293Y y...

Re: Iberia New Destinations?

The 2 A330's are only to fill the gap of the 2 that are now operating for Level, so not really net growth. If those 4 A346 leave the fleet (whether all or some), the 2 A359 coming in will be a downgrade at a minimum in capacity, if not in aircraft number. In an IAG investor presentation from 1-2 ye...

Re: Iberia New Destinations?

Iberia will receive 2 new A330-200 in early 2018 and also the first 2 A350-900s in June and July so even if a couple of the 4 A340-600s that will have their lease expired during the first half of the year leave the fleet still should allow room for some growth. LEVEL order for 3 A330-200's is separa...

RE: Spotting In Dubai

I've been a few times to landside Food Court on Terminal 1 and no one bothered me about taking photos from there. Glass is sometimes dirty with sand and slightly tinted but still workable.

However you'll only be able catch aircraft going to the south side of Concourse A.

RE: MAD Spotting

There're no official spots but police is usually nice and they're used to spotters around the fence. If you stay in private grounds, like the cargo terminal area, you might get some airport private security guys annoying you but in my experience this is unusual unless you start touching the fence wh...
