Re: Impact of a major Israel-Iran escalation on Middle Eastern aviation

This will really impact India to Europe/USA Not really. India to Europe/USA doesn’t use Iranian airspace. They transit the ‘Stans, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. All those airspaces are still open. Northern and eastern Iranian airspace is still open as well. This isn’t all doom and gloom. At least...

KLM DXB-AMS also seems to now be diverting to VIE. Looking at it's flight track, it went up the Persian Gulf then circled around at altitude before deciding to head west over Saudi Arabia. Must have also gotten the call while airborne.

How exactly does this happen? The 777 wheel seems to have about 20 "lug nuts" (for lack of the technical term) attaching the wheel to the main landing gear. Does it break at the main gear itself? I wish United would start agressively retiring the PW 777-200 fleet. I recently flew one from ...

It looks as though Qatar 729/730, to and from DFW, briefly went to a 777-300ER and now has returned to the A350-1000. My flight schedule this weekend with Qatar has reflected these changes. A350-1000 to a 777-300ER, back to an A350-1000.

Is Qatar shuffling the fleet around this summer?
