Does anyone think DL will bother responding to the MSP and ATL routes, or is LNK too close to OMA for them to bother? If they thought they could make money on them, I could see 2x ATL and 2x MSP on CR7/9s (if they have slack in those fleets).

I'm a private pilot with ASEL privileges, so I've never had to deal with V1 in regards to single engine failures on multi-engine aircraft. In the YouTube video, the captain states "continue" (presumably recognizing and identifying the situation at that point), and then states "V1"...

The UA flight status page shows that it's cancelled due to "engine maintenance". I wonder if the passengers are being re-accommodated on alternate flights (instead of a replacement aircraft being used for this flight).

I just passed my private pilot checkride last week, and was issued a temporary paper certificate. Because of the shutdown, the FAA is not processing applications submitted through IACRA, so I have no idea when I'll receive my plastic certificate.

MUC-ATL see's a lot of BMW traffic. I've seen many of them in business class and economy when I've been on the flights before. That makes sense - many probably connect to ATL-GSP to end up right next to the plant. You can follow the traffic just by the flight numbers. DL130 is a GSP-ATL-MUC route. ...

I'm a student at a local flight school in OAK. We've been warned about the potential difficulties of doing touch and go's on the 28s during the closure. It will be interesting to see how much airline/biz jet traffic that usually uses 12/30 ends up using 28R.

They've got FIS, but they don't have the capability to process a heavy on short notice, so they pretty much just have to sit there and wait it out. I'm pretty sure the smallest aircraft for SFO is a UAX CRJ-200.
