May I ask you to keep the thread on topic, even if I have to admit it was quite interesting and sometimes entertaining? Feel free to open a new thread in case you want to have a further discussion about the available number of toilets up in the air.Jump to post
German AeroTelegraph writing about THY flying to SYD. https://www.aerotelegraph.com/turkish-airlines-greift-golfairlines-auf-sydney-route-an In this article they wrote that the aircraft type has not been mentioned during the event in Istanbul. So it could either be 789 or A359, with the 789 being i...Jump to post

I am doing that freuqnetly when flying before Easter or Christmas during boarding. I do not expect something, but besides having a very surprised and grateful crew, I have sometimes received wine and chcocolate in return when deplaning. In the case of wine they were even asking in advance if I have ...Jump to post

I wonder why didn’t Airbus get the A359-ULR the same set of wheels as the A35K, that would’ve been a real ULR version. They must have thought about it at least .. They very publicly did. In fact, their original ULH proposal was an A359 with the A35K gear and wingbox (basically, an A35K shrunk to A3...Jump to post

I thought the title of this topic was "The effect of a no deal Brexit on aviation" so why are people talking about over population etc Fully agree. Please note that this is the aviation related discussion thread about Brexit, so please stay on topic otherwise this thread will be locked. A...Jump to post

A more sinister version of what Cpd said is that there will be idiots who will steal, attempt to steal, or failing the attempt bend, break, or befoul literally any and every component they think they can get away with. Fully agree with that. I remember my father made a tour through an old submarine...Jump to post

I feel like the NMA would be a perfect fit on these routes. That would depend on the final size. It could be to small to be a proper replacement. I think 78J is more likely. Then there was the flightglobal articel that UA was still in talks with A on the A330neo and the bird made a stop at ORD. Any...Jump to post
The only way you'll see a "LH" flight to BDL is if it's this: https://www.privatair.com/aircraft/boeing-737-700-lufthansa-20c-66y Believe it or not that was how MUC-BOS got started :) LH have cancelled the contract and the Pune route is cancelled as far as I know so this is not going to b...Jump to post
I checked the moderator logs and the initial thread was indeed deleted, but there was a reason, it contained flamebait. Hence it was deleted. So there was no interest at all "to bury the news".Jump to post
Government is looking for an Italian shareholder consortium answer for Alitalia. The debate misses the point, there is no suitable airport. TXL is not build for long haul, much less for a hub operations. Waiting areas, security controls, baggage transportation - everything is running at way over design capacity. I don't think it does. Part of the debate revolves around the idea...Jump to post

As I said, this topic has been widely discussed and to be honest I do not see any benefit in discussing the intentions of an old article.
But to answer your question: The author was obviously pro-Boeing. However we lerned about DL's 797 intentions only later after the order.
This topic has been widely discussed in several threads.
In the meantime DL has said that they are interested in becoming 797 launch customer.
I think they will simply order the aircraft which fits best to their current needs and has the right price tag on it.
Topic has been wideley discussed and thread will be locked.Jump to post
Now that Hifly's first A380 has entered service this thread will be locked.
For Hifly A380 operations please see:
Some posts have been moved into this thread.
I have renamed an existing thread into Hifly A380 operations thread and will successively merge all other threads and post into this one. This will cause some inconvenience in the beginning and I am sorry for this, but I think it does make sense to have single thread about this topic.Jump to post
This topic has again been widely discussed and will be locked now. In case there will be any remarkable news about this topic, feel free to open a new thread.Jump to post
Well, you can always get your 737NG with SFP kit.

I would expect that solved the problem.
Hopefully LH will be able to oversee their complicated pilot situation. At least for the customer it stays simple, seeing only LH and EW, so from a marketing perspective there seems to be no problem. We have classic LH mainline. Then the A 340s operated by Cityline under LH brand. EW operated by AB...Jump to post
