In Japan, NH runs a flight from HND to HAC (Hachijojima), which is within the same city (if you consider Tokyo Metropolis a city). Flight has a block time of 55 minutes.

Re: 2 hours enough SQ to AirAsia at SIN ?

It may be doable, but I wouldn't try it. You would have to clear immigration, grab your bag, make your way to Terminal 4 by bus, and check in again. AirAsia is strict on check in times. If everything lines up, yes, you could do it in 20 minutes, but all if would take is a slightly longer line at imm...

Besides SIN which is mentioned above, the people mover in TPE does the same thing in the same way. Two carriages, coupled together but with no physical way between them, one of which opens doors to landside, and the other to airside

Great report Thank you so much for this report! As a rail enthusiast I have long wanted to travel the jungle railway but I wasn't aware there was a sleeper service. As someone who frequently takes Jetstar or Scoot's miserable 4.5 hour redeyes between SIN and TPE, one cynical reason is that I forget how awful they are a few weeks after flying them, tricking me into booking them again. Can it be done? You can fly mainland US-HNL on a 737, then take the island hopper to Asia. You can fly Europe-USA on 757's and 737's. How about Asia-Europe? Usually, there is no complete transpacific narrowbody link. The island hopper ends at GUM and there is no further narrowbody connection to Asi...

Re: Cathay Pacific CX Airbus A359 and A333 - 60K and 59A windows?

I flew a CX A359 last week, in 60A (the mirror image of 60K). It's a full size window, and more legroom than anyone could possibly need. There's actually enough space for someone not too large the fit between the door and row 59; so the seat also has easy aisle access.
