1) Why did you fly LHR-AUH-ORD? Why not just fly LHR-ORD? While EY can be good, no service (or potential service) is worth that much of a detour. None. I will also add that it is not only a business class problem, but once you are flying a non-A380 flight, you just never know what kind of crews you will get! I had a SYD-AUH-ZRH flight last year, and while the crews on the AUH-ZRH A330 were not as bad as the on your flight, there was a difference. ...

It's worth it for a fully flat bed, yes. The business seats are really comfortable.
