Re: South Florida Aviation Thread - 2021

Delta 11 is MIA’s newest renovated jetbridge, I worked it the other night on a GND outbound. Not having to spool up the A/C hose is pretty nice!

Also, the lead in to Delta 27 has been repaved with fresh asphalt.

Re: South Florida Aviation Thread - 2021

I’ve heard rumors Allegiant might be knocking on MIA’s door for a late winter launch in time for spring break. MIA is just missing Allegiant and Alaska at the moment and they would have all the major LCCs. I have no doubt in my mind about them launching MIA in the near future. Heck, maybe even Silv...

Also, work is underway on Golf and Delta 11 to replace the old, rusted INET jet bridges with brand new ThyssenKrupp ones, which feature the new BoomAir auto-retract AC hoses. Delta does regularly schedule 767s, both domestic and international, to MCO and other major Florida airports during the fast season. Occasionally, they'll send an A330 as well. But depends on what context "regular" lies within. If that is in the sense of year-wide, Delta doesn't do that, AA does. -L...
