The Red Air MD has been relocated successfully and now repairs to MIA airport infrastructure begin.
Also I found an Antonov AN12 on the cargo ramp while doing a work run, pictures here soon.
Echo 11 at MIA has been removed, and the new jetbridge is being installed. E11 was the last stationary (IE-non wheeled, non-moving) jetway at MIA.

Jump to postI didn’t see it anywhere else, but the Eagle operation at MIA is all 175 now. All the 145s have been moved elsewhere or decommissioned.

Jump to postI suspect that a large amount of trash the moderators have to deal with are old timers who have been banned just trolling, as they say, “for the lulz” under multiple accounts. As I stated above, this was a problem even when the site was paid membership only - those with deep pockets would pay the $2...
Jump to postHow about you go on strike. That's the only way they will do anything. That wouldn’t lead to anything because the moderators aren’t paid positions, among many other reasons. The entire first page of that section of the forum is clogged with "Aviation at... [airport code]", "Deliverie...

Jump to postWe already have extensive policies, procedures, manuals, and staffing in place to deal with every aspect of unruly passengers. I’m not aware of anything further that can be done on our part.
Jump to postReport it. I often report inappropriate posts, no matter who they are directed at.. That's another issue I see. Anyone can report anyone's post. I'm not really sure the moderators have enough time to see the context. They just delete the post and potentially make a lot of collateral damage along th...
Jump to postSorry to see another airline go…Maybe we AA employees can finally get some NK ZED agreement on MYID after all this hoopla…Either way, I think I will be fine. Haha
Jump to postAs a mainline TWU represented AA ramper it fascinates me to see airline operations around the globe. However it would seem to me that in places like Europe, and elsewhere, the vast majority of airline ground operations (and to some extent the operation as a whole) are contracted out to companies lik...

Delta 11 is MIA’s newest renovated jetbridge, I worked it the other night on a GND outbound. Not having to spool up the A/C hose is pretty nice!
Also, the lead in to Delta 27 has been repaved with fresh asphalt.
B6 has changed its ground handling contract vendor in MIA from Eulen America to Swissport.
Jump to postI’ve heard rumors Allegiant might be knocking on MIA’s door for a late winter launch in time for spring break. MIA is just missing Allegiant and Alaska at the moment and they would have all the major LCCs. I have no doubt in my mind about them launching MIA in the near future. Heck, maybe even Silv...
Jump to postI have a question, have you ever been a member here under a different screen name? Jump to postAlso, work is underway on Golf and Delta 11 to replace the old, rusted INET jet bridges with brand new ThyssenKrupp ones, which feature the new BoomAir auto-retract AC hoses. This should make our work on the ramp much easier. Add Foxtrot 11 and Echo 10 to that list. Seems that all gates at MIA will...

Jump to postI’m going to go to bat for the moderators again re: political posting. Honestly, at the end of the day, Anet is an aviation site. If your sole purpose here is to discuss politics in NonAv, your interests are most likely better served by political-centric websites where it’s a free for all and people...
Jump to postSadly enough, though, I can think of about 50 users I would immediately add to the “block list” right off the top of my head. Jump to postAlso, if you think something is off topic, report it. We rely heavily on user reports as we simply don't have the time to read every post in every thread. Jump to postI recall in 2013 or so, somebody asked the same question, and the answer was 20 at the low end and mid 40s at the high end. Of course, that most likely has changed in the decade since ‘13. I’m more interested to know the seniority of the moderators (I.E. only how long they have been a moderator, not...
Jump to postI’ve worked a lot of these flights here in MIA and it’s nice to see the 777s augment the usual narrow bodies on this route. Usually the senior guys work the 772s/3s and 788s here on the ground, but with this increase I also have been given the chance to work the widebodies as well
Jump to postGreetings, ATCSundevil. Jump to postThis is the same website I was told by prominent members in the very-toxic live chat room feature, prior to working in the industry, that I was never going to be employed with any airline, I’d be an utter failure in life, and I’d be living at home for the rest of eternity. When I attempted to defen...

It is indeed shameful, this could've been done years ago and should've. Time will tell if it is ratified, from people I've talked to it could really go either way. There's no cap on LAA insurance, there is on LUS. Congratulations! Do you think there ill ever be a single union for ground employees? ...
Jump to postHere in MIA at mainline fleet service, we start at $14.18 and max out at $30.81 after 12 years with the current (2012) contract. I am thrilled that we have something to vote on!
And yes it is very possible to make over $100k as a ramper or CSA here!!
Sad to see another EMB120 operator gone. If they had listed their inventory on MyIDTravel, I would have flown on them just to ride on an EMB120.
Is Southern Airways Express going to go the same way?
Michael Morisi filed for bankruptcy about four years before PeoplExpress got off the ground, and had several ventures that went defunct in the PHF area. Since the shutdown of PeoplExpress he’s had a job as an ordained minister for a church.

The old anet used a forum software called Phorum. It was not custom built from scratch but just a heavily modified version of a board software, that, might I point out, according to their website is still 100% supported and still updated. I'm just posting because I'm sick of seeing "Johan wrote...

Jump to postDelta does regularly schedule 767s, both domestic and international, to MCO and other major Florida airports during the fast season. Occasionally, they'll send an A330 as well.
