I use it all the time without getting blotchy appearance.... (Correction, I think I use deNoise 4, but functionally they are the same I was told, when I communicated about uninstalling the 5 version on grounds that I didn't like the interface...) I use it on picts taken with ISO no higher than 320 o...

...anyone have any idea when it might depart? (It's the morning of August 25...) I happened to "discover" it while checking a live tracking site and had time to catch it coming, but....I had to guess "north" or "south"...I guessed "north" and got to see it with my binocs in the distance as it landed...

...I tried to ggogle up something that might show and found a youtube video taken from landing...unfortunately, it was dark then (at time of landing) and the illumination of the tail "blinded" the camera and no number could be seen.... ..I'm sure there's photos here on Airliners.net that were taken ...

Anyone know which one of the two Boeings he landed in...? – 28000 or 29000... ...I took a couple of shots from departure, but at such an angle that number on tail was not visible...just wanted to include correct data with file... ...sharpen as little as you can...sharpening is a great way to destroy images if not done well...

...check image at 200 percent...see what happens when you try different values...choose what looks best...and again...don't overdo...

This is the only way to get an intuitive sense for sharpening...

I checked the post linked to above (Thanks!) – but it's still too "cryptic" – here's the relevant part: Boeing 737-700 = 3101 - 3110 (N301DQ is 3101 and so forth...) First post here (I think) – Most airplanes are not difficult to identify, you see the number and that's all you need... But if you take a picture of a plane from below, you may not see that number...if it's a "good airline" you'll find a number on one of the wings – problem solved... But not all air...
