RE: CX Premium Economy First Row Seat Issue

I can understand your annoyance and after reviewing the seat plan, I can see why. It does seem to be a design oversight in the sense that they only put toilets on the starboard side but did not consider how PY pax sitting in seats A and C would get there. T...

RE: Kai Tak Airport - Today

Just a quick update, the first cruise docked at the new terminal at Kai Tak last night. The timing of this has been heavily scrutinised due to the fact that the terminal itself is actually incomplete and neither is the infrastructure in place to deal with any significant number of passengers. <a hre...

RE: Jetstar HK Got Delayed Again By CX's Lobbying

Ok, let's see if I can sort out the tax arguments. It is obvious that CX do not want Jetstar in HK and so they seek to find legal bars to prevent Jetstar from setting up in <acro...

RE: Passenger Sues Ryanair Over Tail Strike

Just from reading the article, it seems that the legal issue is to do with her claim for psychiatric injury. I am going to play devil's advocate and say that I don't think that her claim is unmeritorious. I am more familiar with the law in the UK so what I say may not apply in Ireland. However, I do...

RE: Current State Of Kai Tak (What's Left Of It)

The remnants of the runway are still visible. I swear there is still a bit of the runway tarmac left. I think there is still the odd building from the past but the main terminal and most other buildings were taken down a long time ago.

<...

RE: Only Earbud-style Headphones Allowed

Hmm, if by earbud design, they mean the white ipod ones, then I guess that makes sense.I see the logic but to be honest; I know that many people have invested in what are known as IEM (in ear monitor) earphones which basically blocks out a lot of the external noise minus without the need for active ...

RE: FAA Reprimands Passenger Using IPad During Takeoff

Disregarding all the merits of the rule, I think the FAA is right in issuing the letter. I think that even the FAA knows a good amount of people disregard the rule and have ipads, phones etc on when they are not supposed to. However, they also know that it is nigh on impossible to penalise everyone ...

RE: How Does One Fly Non Rev, Or On Standby?

I am speaking only from experience of non-rev travel on 1 airline. Basically, tickets are not bought in the convention sense of going onto website like a paying passenger. Instead, most of the time they go online into their intra-airline website and select their flight to standby on. One could choos...
