Re: Aigle Azur at risk of ceasing operations

Apparently, slots to OPO and LIS will be transferd to VY.

Moreover, Algeria government (or airports authorities) have to pay 60M€ which belongs to ZI. With this sum, ZI would be in better shape.

Re: Aigle Azur at risk of ceasing operations

I thought the ORY-VCP was a small success but apparently not that much. There are too many small French airlines (Aigle Azur, Corsair, Air Caraïbes, French Blue, La Compagnie, XL Airways). I'm sure a consolidation of some of those airlines will help their financial statements... There is Air Austral...

Why not having A221, A223 and A225 for A318/319/320 replacements and having the A321neo+LR for short/medium haul + longer ranges needed such as Tel Aviv, Tbilissi and increase frequencies into deep Africa ?

Nice TR.
I took the same flight as yours, in October 1998. I also took N902TW. However, this is a 762ER and not a 762 non-ER. This aircraft was indeed a 762 non-ER, but transformed into ER later.

Which reg did you have on the return flight ?

The best swap I had was a scheduled Comair (South Africa) 733 changed to a 732 on JNB-WDH.
Another one was Spanair 717 swapped to MD87 on MAD-PMI.
Another good one was a Corsair 744 swapped to 743 on ORY-FDF.
