LWO - KTW is only around 220 miles, it probably wouldn't have needed fueling up. Be interesting to see if Wizz attempt to rescue their other A320's now.

I would like AY enter a partership with BA to operate BA's long-haul leisure routes out of LGW to the Caribbean. Would open up the Caribbean more to the Finns, plus bring a far superior product to LGW in place of those cattle-truck leisure-fleet 777's.

These aircraft are not that old in the grand scheme of things but won't be in a great state having rested in Thailand hot, humid and seasonally wet climate all these years. BGI is about as high yield a leisure destination as you can get, hence BA use a 4-class 777 there.
About time VS looked at serving MLE, also a high yielding leisure route.

Still awaiting official confirmation that visa on arrival travel will be permitted after Sept 7, the date Japan opens up to visitors more generally. Daily arrival cap will then go to 50K a day from the present 20K.

Has anyone ever converted the 600 model of the A340 series to a freighter? That's a looooong bird.

European AirCargo operates ex-VS A346's as freighters but without the cargo door installed.
Has a circa 92tonne capacity from what I've read.

2nd LGW - JFK is already bookable on Galileo GDS...showing aircraft as 32S. LHR - BOS will also start in November with 32Q so it looks like there will be more 32Q deliveries as B6 will have 4 32Q a day then to London.
And cool that LGW gets the 2nd JFK ahead of LHR.

The LGW - JFK flight started with seemingly very little notice. Can't imagine the loads are great. Flightsdon't appear on Galileo GDS, so not much support from the travel industry using Galileo then either.

The tourist market in Anchorage will be limited to summer only, like the Alaska cruise season.
Iceland in winter is not as cold as Anchorage then, although still plenty cold enough for most.
I don't think a 2 -day stopover there in any other time than summer would appeal to Europeans or Asians.

If premium leisure demand is what influences BA to a new Caribbean destination, then why not SXM ? Thats the international gateway to loads of luxury island retreats the uber wealthy love. As seen by the amount of biz jets there on any one day.

I recieved easyJet's expense claim refund in around 6-7 weeks. Just lost a bit on the exchange rate they used ( CHF to GBP ) but still at least they forked out what was due to me for stranding me in ZRH. Tour operators have gone back to pre-pandemic normal booking conditions now. Also, time is running out to use any airline credits anyone still has. BA need theirs to be rebooked by end Sept.

Jet 2 have done well with the demise of Monarch & Thomas Cook, gradual sensible controlled expansion and a good managment team. They support the travel industry too, unlike Ryanair.
Be interesting to see if they ever make a move to start LGW or LTN flights, or even BOH.
