In my opinionated mind, the ISP announcement is probably B6, NK, or MX, but MX said last time they were announcing routes before the airports got to them. B6 sounds like this announcement with their alliance with AA and their presence in the NY area. Disregard that: the announcement appears to be M...

I think they would have better success by rephrasing it a bit. I also think a "match" would be the smarter way to go about it. Something like: "United is already committed to purchasing 1.5 billion gallons sustainable aviation fuel, but you can help us grow that number. We will match ...

No. The plan has always been once this “expansion” is complete that United would not gain any net gates on the B concourse. We had 69 gates before, and we will have 69 after. Growth is on A West.

I have no earthly idea how you’d be able to calculate your performance not knowing how much parasitic drag is being created by the shape of the payload. the low marginal cost for standby ticket means its environment cost is low too Exactly. For a transcon flight, it might be (guesstimating) 10 gallons of Jet-A per passenger. There’s not a clear answer as the motivation to fly standby is not always uniform. For example: I am off tomorrow and I see a flight to LAX is wide open. Since that opportunity exists I choose to go; otherwise I had no intention of traveling. This would be an appropriate case of adding to pollution ...
