I didn't personally see it, but I remember we had a CRJ flight come back to the gate years ago where the rear cargo door popped open during taxi. The right combination of a worn out door latch, hitting the right expansion joint at just the right speed. I am not sure I can visualize how it can happen...

And that's exactly why they should add TYS. Adding TYS would certainly help to retain those loyal WN-fliers in Knoxville (if there are any) who drive to Nashville for their flights. Tennessee as a whole seems to be a major market for WN, so I wonder if they would eventually add CHA and TRI as well....

Kind of unusual for them to go against the community’s wishes also. OO provides a lot of value, being able to fully leverage UA’s huge network with connection protection. DAC can’t provide that even with a codeshare. You are pretty much on your own until you are on board UA’s network.

The NTSB is biased in this regard because as investigators of course they would love every little extra bit of information they can get. It makes their jobs easier. The NTSB provides recommendations, it is up to the FAA and other parties to decide to implement. Any investigator would want more info....

COS is also around 1,000 feet higher than DEN, so that may factor into takeoff calcs for such a mission.

That would indeed be a weird add, but wouldn’t be able to be daily. A seasonal 3x weekly attempt may be possible.
