Interested to see what DL plans to do with PDX-LHR. Last week the flight was completely removed for 2021. Now its been added back- daily starting April 24, 2021. Also now available for booking on KLM.com/air france/virgin atlantic. Perhaps its been added to see how forward bookings go. I honestly do...Jump to post
DL HND-PDX JUL 1.0>0 AUG 1.0>0 SEP 1.0>0 OCT 1.0>0.3 I wonder if this flight will ever get off the ground? Might make more financial sense for DL to move the frame to PDX-ICN instead where there is the feed from the KE/DL JV. And then let JAL swoop in (with its feed from AS) to fill the...Jump to post
Delta flight attendants allegedly received a memo yesterday warning them that the PDX base may close and they would be relocated to other west coast bases. Not a good sign for the return of PDX-AMS/HND/LHR. Time will tell. Interestingly PDX-LHR on DL is already available for booking for next year s...Jump to post
PDX April stats posted. Passenger numbers down 95%. Cargo however is booming. Cargo up 12.8%!
toobz wrote:Does anybody have info on FI? Parents have a flight from PDX to HEL next month. According to their website they indicate that flights to PDX will operate in June. I kinda doubt it though.
Passenger numbers for March down over 50% at PDX

Volaris is launching PDX-Michoacan nonstop?! Who wants to place bets on how long this one will last? I give it one year tops, and that's if it ever actually launches. Why would Y4 think they could make a route like this work when AM couldn't even make PDX-MEX work? This one is a head scratcher for ...Jump to post
Lufthansa slowly picking off Condor’s routes. First AUS, then PHX, now YYC. Wonder if LH will return to PDX soon with this move and takeover Condor’s PDX-FRA flight.Jump to post
Lufthansa will stop feeding Condor long haul flights- I wonder if this will spell the end to PDX-FRA on condor.
If this were the case I wouldn’t be surprised to see Lufthansa restart PDX-FRA.
Yes, indeed - once AS joins, one world will have at least one non-stop flight a day between every major city on the West Coast (SEA, PDX, SFO/SJC, LAX and SAN) and every major city on the East coast (BOS, JFK/EWR, PHL, IAD/DCA/BWI + MIA/FLL?) - I would guess MIA-PDX should be only a matter of time....Jump to post
Just in case anyone is wondering about the p2p demand between Seattle and India, it is as follows over the past year: *Round trip pax* DEL - 59,000 HYD - 38,000 BOM - 37,000 BLR - 36,000 MAA - 27,000 Yes HYD has more p2p demand from SEA than BLR, but the latter's yields are about 12% higher. Plus B...Jump to post
Happy New Year POL, I must agree with what you've stated for the most part. Delta doesn't need to flinch, even with BA announced. I believe ZG (Zipair) will announce NRT-PDX next year, bringing JL brand to PDX, albeit the LCC way. I think DL will be just fine to HND & unless we see a big global...Jump to post
My predictions -JAL announces PDX-NRT. Would do so well with AS partnership(like BA). -DL announces PDX-CDG/ICN. DL ends PDX-LHR. (There were rumours flying that delta is going to open another sky club at PDX at the very far end of D to coincide with these new flights). -DL adds more PDX flights to ...Jump to post

While I’m excited at the prospect of BA launching LHR service from PDX, I do fear that it will spell the end of DL’s seasonal PDX-LHR flight. I just don’t see how they'll be able to compete with BA with such limited feed on either end. I also have my doubts about how successful PDX-HND will be when...Jump to post
PDX-LAS on Delta. That’s pretty strange. Non hub route. And isn’t sun country starting this? Wonder where that came from. The new LAS flights connect perfectly to/from the new PDX-HND flights. In fact it seems Delta is prioritizing this connection flight- when doing a dummy booking, LAS-PDX-HND-PDX...Jump to post
Assuming this info is true might as well add MCI-LHR. FI has stuck around so I imagine BA would do even better with LHR being one of the largest unserved foreign routes from KC PDX already has DL and TPA is served with LGW. I can’t imagine BA is looking to compete with another carrier in a midsize ...Jump to post
What are the chances LH adds PDX to their network again (albeit from FRA taking it over from Condor)? I think we will see LH back in PDX soon-surprised they haven’t returned yet. Condor has been making a killing at PDX. Increased to 5x/week this summer and have always had load factors in the high 9...Jump to post

Some interesting insights provided by LAS.... https://i.imgur.com/Wrru1aU.png https://i.imgur.com/Wr8QKdm.png https://i.imgur.com/UcI11Kj.png Why there are more Asian travellers buying tickets to PDX than American, compares to all other American cities, despite Portland is probably the least famous...Jump to post
I thought AC was upgrading the route to year-round service from YYZ? Looks like AC PDX-YYZ is being upgauged to a daily A319 operated by Air Canada Rouge for this summer. Wow! From 97 capacity on the E190 to 120 capacity on the A319. Hopefully their putting Rouge on the route brings the prices down...Jump to post
