Does anyone have any photos of the current bins? The E-jets have a 2-2 configuration in coach. Isnt the current bin deep enough to fit a bag flat, perpendicular to the aircraft? I don't really understand how they are getting more space. I don't think they can't get taller bins like the mainline jet...

Today: AS 654 SEA-ABQ almost "full", but a 1/4 of the seats were X'd out (not sold but not available) AS 655 ABQ-SEA 1/3 full but almost every window seat taken and almost all the middle/aisle empty Heavy cargo run from SEA? Per the AS cargo website, Alaska doesn't send cargo to/from ABQ....

I'm not saying it could or should happen...but I could see combis allowing more frequent service to some cities as opposed to waiting for the dedicated freighter or milk run to come through. I'd be curious if cities have more or less service now compared to back when the combis were in service.

Great to see MCO return as it’s always ranked as one of the largest US routes without a non-stop. Now it’d be nice if they bumped up some of their non-daily flights up to daily (and year-round) and brought back BWI, which seemed to be a very popular route

Probably had to carry extra fuel due to weather, could be too hot to takeoff with that much weight, could have been overfueled and didn't have the ability to be defueled...could be many issues and it happens regularly. The airline has their own volunteer process and if they cannot get what they need...
