A little noteworthy moment. The far east end of T5 (M19/20/21) was demo'd yesterday. About 16 caissons so far have been drilled for the addition and the temporary walkway and bridges are still being installed. As a reminder, Boutique Air starts this Saturday (8/1) out of L11a/b twice a day. And as d...Jump to post
I would expect LY in 2021 at the earliest. I can imagine the same applies for NZ and QF. AY won't be back until S21, CX keeps pushing back their return. Norwegian, technically they still hold times but lets' face it, I don't see them coming back. HU and MU are operating cargo only..Interjet, not wit...Jump to post

KLM 747-400M PH-BFY AMS-ORD-MHV ferry flight delayed one week (originally scheduled on June 22) to Monday, June 29, 2020. I know that a few posts up-thread there was a rumor that one would visit ORD on the 15th, I don't know if that was delayed to the 22nd which is now delayed until the 29th, or if...Jump to post
ET looks to swap with a A350-900 sometime this week. If I hear which date specifically, I'll post up. Also, the AN-124 is delayed, so anyone looking for photo's today, this would be a good time to go. An-124 departed an hour late, but it was even better for us due to lower angle of sunlight and sti...Jump to post
And it will be parking on their own gates at T2. So for those never seeing a widebody parked out there, this will be a good time. Actually, they can go up to a 772 if needed. Yeah, I remember when NW parked their 747s and DC-10s at the end of T2 in the early 2000s What sort of routes was NW doing f...Jump to post

Any idea when next flight will be?

First Edelweiss Air in the ORD database. 6014083 Also there was a large crane and some construction vehicles working right next to M21 today - the first time I've seen actually construction work on the T5 expansion. Removal of the old M20 and M21 bridges. You'll see it there until August on and off...Jump to post
Inquiry made for PIA to operate a repatriation flight next week. Don't forget SV has one on Sunday. Crossing fingers, by 8/1 all new temporary bridges for the T5 expansion will be in place and operational. Has anyone arrived on an international flight at ORD recently? I'm flying BA from LHR in a few weeks and I was wondering if there's anything noteworthy I should expect upon arrival. LX will op freighter services with an Edelweiss 340 in May. Those who might have missed it, EY started their 789 aircraft into ORD. So when will the Tecnam P2012 debut at BOS and JFK? Unfortunately Cape Air does not fly from BOS to JFK. They do have a flights from HYA to JFK and ACK to JFK. They appear to be keeping five P2012's close to Hyannis (BOS-HYA-ACK) with two P2012's sent to Marion, IL. The new P2012 was heavily promis...Jump to post
Wow what an utter disgrace. Can't say this is at all surprising given Chicago's dirty politics. I Doubt this has anything to DO with Politics. Chicago is a difficult town to work in Period. 99% of the airports in the world outside the US is slot controlled. This is exactly to prevent overcapacity issue, e.g. waiting 50 minutes for a gate like the major airports around USA do. Exactly which airport(s) are you talking about? I think the last place I waited that long for a gate was at OG...Jump to post
There's been a Terminal Transfer Bus for almost a year now for people flowing back from T5 to Terminals 1 and 3. It departs from M1 with 4 stops. What's the status on T5 expansion? How many gates will officially be added and what concessions will be added? And will T5 ever be connected post-security to the terminal core? That crains article states traffic movements are up 1.8% over last year, which increases ORDs lead over ATL even more. Ironically, the Sun-Times article includes Muller + Muller's conception of the T5 expansion, not an SOM drawing of the concourses. But, in aviation as well as journalism, "clo...Jump to post

The City of Chicago is incompetent when it comes to keeping a runway open. Downright awful. How the airlines continue to put up with this is beyond me. The T5 lot is still moving forward. I think Chidino is right about the T5 lot. (Sort of) found it: current sketch of T5 reveals no garage. https:/...Jump to post
Are they actually filling all of their parking spots? MDW just cancelled their parking lot expansion due to a decline in parkers. And at ORD, the CONRAC adds a few floors of new parking. Just want to broach the subject of ride-sharing at ORD. For me it's asking a single question. Did LH file or update the necessary paperwork with the FAA? To me this is a simple yes or no answer. Still, the FAA has some explaining to do. NZ and QF started about 9 months out with certain talks. If this is for W20 then SQ better get the ball started sooner than later.
If we look at times for NZ and QF (1700/1640 arrival) (2000/2140 departure) SQ would want to arrive in the late afternoon/early evening and depart mid to late evening.
