I have never heard of this happening. If she doesn't have any flight training, this doesn't sound very safe, especially with pax on board. Do you know what airline this was?

Also, why would they need to hand fly the airplane? It seems like they could just leave the autopilot on...

I think it is a really cool livery, better than the plain CO livery. Somehow the wave just makes it look better and since the 787 is a new airplane, a new livery goes great with it.

Not excactly on the belly, but Cargolux has thier logo painted on the underside of the nose. I wish that was more common here. It makes it a lot easier to identify the airline when it flies over and gives it a cool look, I think.

Maybe the gate DL uses was occupied? The previous aircraft might have had some kind of delay and didn't leave on time. Instead of holding the pax for longer, the crew just took another, empty gate.
