Re: BA short of A32X?

BA utilize 20 E190 under CityFlyer from London City airport to serve short haul business travelers across Europe.

This probably damp the need for more A32X for their Heathrow operations. Besides, they also got EuroFlyer in Gatwick to cater to more holiday friendly destinations.

In terms of tourism demand, it's probably isn't gonna be as high as Japan or South Korea for East Asian destinations. So I doubt we would be getting more non-stop flights from Mainland China.

To be fair, airBaltic order 80 of them, Swiss have 30, and Air France order 60 of them. In terms of numbers, it's quite big, it suggested that A220 would be part of their main short haul operations rather than substitute for their A320neo. I wonder if they would ever cancel their MAX8 order and just go with all A321neo for narrowbody operation. Doesn't really makes sense to operate just 11 Standard A321neo and 21 MAX8. They could easily order MAX10 instead if they want the capacity, but they decide to order A321neo. Makes no sense at ...

No, cause by the time they launch the program, and delivered the first aircraft, there's gonna be enough time for Airbus to streamline the production of A220 and came up with the stretch A220-500.

Then Embraer would fine themself being the 3rd players on a market segment dominated by Airbus.

There are frequent mentions of how Frankenstein the MAX is, but all derivatives are Frankensteins to a degree. The A330 is almost a newer A300. Also the 737 has a much newer wing than the A320. The problems with the 737 are less about the hardware and much more about Boeing's failures in management...
