I've also wondered if there might have been a Peoples Express connection behind BTV getting B6 service. Peoples Express saw considerable success in BTV before it was absorbed into CO - it demonstrated that BTV could support a low-cost carrier. I could see someone carrying their experience at People...

BTV and Upstate NY along with ORH are served for POLITICAL reasons. New Air was many years ago...but ol Chuck Schumer is still around. They won't withdraw from BTV/PWM. They need those to feed Florida flights and the O&D traffic also make money. Stuff they will cut are the low yielding west coast stuff. They've already reduced winter schedule on routes like MCO-LAX, JFK-PDX, FLL-LGB, which are all huge money loosers. Hopefully...

I’m hearing there are 6-8 BlueCities on the chopping block in the very near future... a handful of which have been on the routemap from the very beginning (00-02) That concerns me greatly since BTV is in that category and as the smallest city that B6 serves, I could see it as a prime candidate for ...

As an aside, the technology does exist to capture CO2 from the atmoshere and use renewable energy to do so. I consider it as a large factor in terms of how I get around, and how I make large decisions in life, but I don't consider it on a detail basis when choosing to fly. I.E. According to UPS' transit time maps, UPS Ground between Fort Worth and Phoenix is 3 days. FedEx Ground uses team longhaul drivers so they don't have to stop and rest; I assume that UPS has the same kind of capability. 1100 miles is beyond what Amazon currently does in-house by road, but no reason they might not get there someday. I would be curious to see whether your "2 Day Air&qu...

Theoretically PBG could be considered an alternate for BTV. This is pure, uninformed speculation on my part, but if B6 were to go the route of wide bodies, I'd think the A330neo would be the way they would go. There's probably a decent amount of parts commonality with the A320, and I wonder if Airbus could offer better pricing versus the 787-9. Regardless of...

But, the FAA regs. probably don't permit the kind of ride-sharing that Uber and Lyft offer for auto owners. You can replacement 'probably' with 'definitely.' There have been numerous FAA rulings on this in recent years. The FAA won't even allow someone to offer up a seat in their aircraft at cost v...

If the airline wants to avoid no-shows, just send an e-mail/text 1 week and again 1 day beforehand reminding them of the flight details where you can confirm simply by replying. Maybe even give an incentive to reply (e.g. $10 off your next ticket) or to report if they won't make it (e.g. partial re...
