E2 is a United gate and E34 is an American Eagle gate.

Actually E34 is very much a Spirit gate. I believe American Eagle is gates E35-E38(old US Airways gates)

On the -100 series the galley was a lower deck galley where all catering supplies are located. Its the galley service door. the -500 series had FWD and AFT galleys on the main deck.

granted in 10 years I've only had a handful who dont know how to fasten/release their seatbelt it happens occasionally and yes it works much differently than one in a car. Its usually elderly pax who cant figure it out or try to insert the buckle in the the wrong end.

well in the US per FAA regulations all transmitting and recieving devices may not be used in flight. and cell phones and wireless email devices may only be used if the wireless connection has been disabled. However I'm not sure about tother countries regs.

No one over reacted in this situation. When someone makes a comment like that it is REQUIRED to be taken seriously, and that means delaying or cancelling the flight while the crew gets tested. Anything else, such as just ignoring the comments is unacceptable
