A couple of observations at SYD this afternoon (Thursday): 1. A QF 744 is docked at T3 preparing to operate a domestic sector. I'm assuming this is make a bit of extra cash as it positions to MEL (as has happened a few times of late). So my question is what is the international sector is it due to ...Jump to post

Also tonight's QF9 is running about 5 hours late, and tomorrow's will be 5 hours late as well due to the delays incurred last night Tonight ZND seems to be out of service (planned or otherwise). Arrived in Melbourne from LAX this morning but could not operate QF9 so the flight was delayed until ZNE...Jump to post
I have information from another source that, either in addition to or in spite of (not sure which) the info on The Qantas Source, ZNB had a pressurisation issue due to a faulty cargo door seal. It looks like Tuesday's QF10 will depart at 0800 BST on Wednesday, and Wednesday's QF10 will depart at 16...Jump to post
It is unrelated to the weather events over the past day or so. The inbound QF16 arriving in BNE was a 744 and by the looks of it, it came at the expense of a QF55/56 rotation. The 789 that became available operated a QF94/93 rotation. A388's VH-OQB has been on the ground at LAX since Thursday, so p...Jump to post

It looks like the delivery of ZNG has been pushed back 7 days, though this is subject to change https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FH3Y2-vRUgojntPkCSJI5Pd-15rsJ1a0SFCRaT-iqgo/edit#gid=19 Going by the schedules it doesnt look like ZNG is required for international service until 1st December so ...Jump to post

This seems to have either been missed or not announced, Scoot has increased PER to 9 weekly as of this week Certainly interesting considering they went to a split schedule between the 788 and 789. Are the increased services on the 788? Also good to see quite a significant increase in capacity to Si...Jump to post

Wednesday's QF50 SFO-MEL (VH-ZNC) didnt leave SFO and is now scheduled to depart at 2000 local on Thursday as QF50D, nearly 22 hours behind schedule. As a result QF9 today has been cancelled. Is this just the PER-MEL-PER legs of QF10/QF9 cancelled with tonight's QF9 still operating the PER-LHR sect...Jump to post
There appears to be an issue with VH-ZNF in London. QF10 (2SEP) has not left LHR yet. QF website is showing current expected arrival in PER of 0630 on Tuesday and todays QF10 PER-MEL as cancelled.
ZND is flying QF485 MEL-PER now. This afternoons QF9 MEL-PER is still scheduled to be operated by A330.
VH-ZNF has been put into service as QF634 MEL-BNE tonight. Both OJU and OJT are at LAX today, as there was no QF16. My guess is one of them will be withdrawn today Both lived to fly another day! OJT returned as Mondays QF16 (but is now headed back to LAX) and OJU is on the way to Sydney as Tuesdays ...Jump to post
Sad for the queen, even if not today then soon. I flew on VH-OJT in the spring of 2014 LAX-BNE - and what a fine ride it was. I agree. ZNE will operate its first international revenue service this afternoon as QF9 to PER/LHR. Is this the first schedule disruption/substitution to QF 9/10? As far as other types filling in, yes I believe it is. No cancellations and no services have been more than an hour or two late so far. VH-VZB (737-838) is operating the MEL-PER leg of QF9 today. Looks as though -ZNA will turn around at PER and return to LHR tonight.
It appears -ZNC may be u/s in Melbourne as QF400 (which she was scheduled to operate) was cancelled this morning. Can anyone confirm?
I recall Qantas let a 787 option expire, then they exercise these 6 options. How many more options do they have and what are the expiration dates? They had 15 Options and 30 Purchase Rights, so they have exercised 14 of those options which should leave 1 more plus the 30 rights. Qantas originally h...Jump to post

I like it but I think it would have looked far better if the artwork covered the entire fuselage similar to the earlier birds OJB/OEJ, EBU and VXB.
