Re: AA Facing Summer Cancellations and Crewing Issues

Parking fleets, retraining pilots, recalling customer service people. I get it. Can't be done in short order. No fault of American. But it is the fault of American for selling seats they were not in a position to have. Surely businesses have to look ahead and make assumptions for the future, but no...

Re: United Adds Lewiston-DEN, and Seasonal Bishop- SFO, DEN, LAX (Skywest)

The only reason MMH was flown was because of the ski area subsidy, which now has been transferred to Bishop airport. This move was originally supposed to happen in October 2020, but COVID upended things. Shuttle service will be available to Mammoth Mountain ski resort. While Bishop will be operatio...

Re: United Adds Lewiston-DEN, and Seasonal Bishop- SFO, DEN, LAX (Skywest)

Discontinuing MMH is interesting as IIRC they are currently in the process of expanding the terminal and apron to allow for larger aircraft. What is the drive like between Mammoth Lakes and Bishop in the winter time? Straight, wide, not windy. Snow makes it down to bishop sometimes but not usually....

You may as well ask AA to build a hub in SAT so you can avoid DFW. PDX doesn't have the O&D. AS may test PDX-xxx for non-stop premiums but isn't going to build PDX in competition with SEA. That’s why it’s a dream. But it would be cool to have some of the NS there for relief then they’d free up ...
