We have a bunch of those here in LatAm, CM has a bunch of departures from places like LIM, SCL, GRU, GIG and others between 12 - 4 am, those flights land in PTY around 6 - 8 am and many passengers connect on to the first US bound bank of flights from 8 - 11 am.
Jump to postThats just cause everyone is hyped for the World Cup, wait till we get Shalacked by Belgium in our opening game and you'll see about that airplane. The national baseball season just wrapped up last week "we won" 25k people showed to the final 2 games. I will say soccer is fashionable but b...
Jump to postThe problem with BLB is that you have to cross a bridge to get there, so if your flight is anywhere close to rush hour it can take up to two hours to get to the airport. Its also not that cheap either, wingo was selling tickets for 125-150$ while CM was selling at around 200$ RT from PTY, for which ...
Jump to postThe ignorance in this thread is scary, yes the govt of Venezuela is a mess but that has nothing to do with the yields of a perticular route. Tickets are not sold in bolivares but actually in USD. I would like to respectfully ask half of the posters to actually read about the situation before posting...
Jump to postSo i posted this an another topic, i did not get any answers, i figured my post was out of place. I've been a member for five years, i think but this is my first topic. What you will read below is my opinion plus some research and info i have gathered mainly from here and a few airport websites. I w...
Jump to postI think that even Central and South America are gonna be complicated for WN. Lets talk about their "hubs", someone mentioned them on an earlier post. MSY and TPA: have exactly one flight to Central and South America each (Mexico is not in Central America just to clarify), both by CM which ...
Jump to postIsn't it really up to the 787-10 to decide if it's a boy or a girl? Unless it is operating in North Carolina, in which case it is determined by the airworthiness certificate. Can an uncertified plane be ready to make such a decision. Surely there is an age of consent. Are you implying that a 787-9 ...
Jump to postToo short of a season for ORD-GUA, but A fit effort. More than DTW has, and I'm sure we will hear about that for months. Cmon sir/madam don't give the DTW trols a reason to ruin our Central American Aviation topic. It's chill around here, full of information and while slow sometimes, it's good. Don...
Jump to postEven if we assume the numbers are there (big if), I can't see a Panama or Bogota flight used as a connection point from RDU. If you compare the advantages and disadvantages of using the US3 to get to South America to an Avianca or Copa ticket option, it looks pretty obvious. The frequencies are a h...
Jump to postMIA to any inhabited place on earth, i bet there would be a lot of premium demand.
Jokes aside how about PTY - HOU on CM.
Copa lets you pick a 24 hr layover in PTY free of charge as a way to encourage people to visit the city.
Jump to postHA's punctuality results are still impressive any way you look at it. There are hundreds of airlines in the world and HA has consistently ranked in the top 10 for punctuality for the past 10 years world wide, and is THE most punctual airline in the US for 10 years running. There is a very simple ex...
Jump to postI say yes and i actually like DL.
I've taken the ATL-DCA route quite a few times and it has been blocked at 2:00, however it has never taken more than 1:30. ATL-TLH was blocked at 1:05 and it usually took 36 mins.
767s are cheaper with enough range for whar WS needs, at least for the next 5 years it doesn't seem like they'll be flying anywhere outside of the range of a 767.
Jump to postWell i have, always delayed out of PTY and yes they do charge for aisle seats on the back of the bus. I used to fly them to go to college in TLH and they were so bad that they actually got me to like DL. No wonder people are leaving them.
Jump to postPeople relax. As it was mentioned earlier by mariner airlines can not police their audiences. I'm for LGBTQ Rights but what if you have to explain that movie to your five year old who found it by accident. I kinda agree with TWA870 its a niche film, not the best idea to have it on a plane but mistak...
Jump to postBack in 2012, i was one of only 10 passengers on a CM 738 PTY-MCO. It was a 9 am flight , great service and lots of beer.

Jump to postI honestly don't think they can make money on the longest non stop flight in the world, with basically no local market. Jump to postGood for COPA and good for Yellowtail. I think they should do 3 times a week instead of two. Jump to postIt also didn't hurt that we are the most important country that still recognizes Taiwan. As mentioned earlier the flight had horrible loads, but the evergreen chairman really wanted to have it.
