This makes a lot of sense!

The market is already there from both countries. However, when FR launched Amman from Paphos, Jordan became one of the local travelers favourite destination. It's impressive how LCCs can stimulate markets!

They could combine it with LCA to capture the gap left by Vueling and Cobalt when they closed their LCA-Spain routes but also gain some feed from the LCA-CAI sector which is currently dominated by EgyptAir at very high prices.

Nope. 10 737s can't do what 250 A380s and 777 are doing. Malta will just be in a great position to increase their tourist numbers and possibly provide a good transit option. But the transit options will not target all continents!

Yep! 0320 Cyprus time is 0120 UK time. Arrival time was not great but most people I know would still pick this over BA.

Cyprus has seen a massive increase the past summer and this growth is expected to grow in S18, with new routes from Cobalt and the new Cyprus Airways. Also, it's probably the last country in the Eastern Mediterranean area considered to be safe.

A3 is ending the nonstop LCA-LHR-LCA run in October. I've heard that the slot was owned by VS and they are returning it. I was wondering, if this is true, is VS only allowed to use the slot for an EU route?

Cyprus Airways also had rights for LCA-LHR-JFK & if I remember correctly there was talks for seasonal MIA & LAX. This was when they first got the a330's, however, it was also around the same time that their problems began.
