Re: Ethiopian Airlines 737MAX crashes enroute to Nairobi

Everyone is focussing on TWO crashed 737 Max 8 planes. One in November and one in March? I came on here to see what you guys thought about the Lion crash. Many seemed to suggest the pilots could have handled that flight better. Indeed pilots on the previous Lion flight handled similar issues and la...

Re: Ethiopian Airlines 737MAX crashes enroute to Nairobi

Ethiopian has just confirmed the Captain had 8000 total hours but the FO only had 200 total hours. That’s one inexperienced FO. Maybe they meant the FO had 200 hours on type, or 2000 total hours... You need 200 hours for a commercial pilots license, so if he had 200 TT that means he went from Cessn...

Re: Ethiopian Airlines 737MAX crashes enroute to Nairobi

The photo above looks a bit strange to me. Just few hours after the crash it should be damn hot to stand there. Also I don’t see any fire or smoke. And no safety/emergency personnel. Just a guy in a suit pulling out a piece of debris The guy in a suit is the CEO of ET (Mr. DEWOLDE), posing for the ...

Re: Rumor' Airbus And Boeing 2018 Orders

Gentlemen, two things here: 1) As lightsaber mentioned absolut correctly: It is still a rumor - even though it comes from inside the company. 2) Don't forget the culture here: Everybody want's to safe his face. So if there is a statement about the performance, it means nothing. Could be any other re...

Source: Well, so far I prefer to say it's "talk in the streets of Addis". I am to close to give better statements about the source and I'd like to appologize for it.

RE: MH370 Malaysia Airlines B772 Missing Enroute KUL-PEK Part 37

There was a lot of speculation in this forum before, how far a 777 could fly / which point in the world it could reach, if it landed on a remote place here or a remote place there etc. etc..., being refueled and used as a weapon. So IF ...

WANTED: Old Flight Details

Hallo Everybody! I am travelling around the world a lot. I am keeping track of all my flights as a passenger in a private “flight log” – about the same as I do as a pilot. To find out registrations is more or less easy today with digital cameras. You almost always find some spot at the gate to catch...
