Re: Air Canada Ending YYZ-MDT/ROC/SYR

Re: retirement of 1900s, The 1900s are still workhorses here in the Maritimes/Newfoundland, flying with EVAS on behalf of AC Express (albeit with no AC markings- I would love to see them in the new livery) handling YHZ-YFC/YSJ/YQM/YYG and YYT-YDF/YQX and even going all the way up to YYR and YWK. I c...

Re: Taking a trip just to fly on a specific type of plane

You're not alone- my girlfriend thinks I am crazy for adding a stop in YYZ on our flight from YUL to YHZ just to try out the new AC 737max. Just part of the avgeek life :)

Re: Old livery "holdouts"

Air Canada Express/Jazz still has a few aircraft in the old multicolour leaf livery before the branding transition from AC Jazz to AC Express. I flew on a CRJ-200 in these colours back in October.

Re: Porter Q400 YYT-YHZ

Thank you for posting. Porter looks quite exceptional for a North American airline. My pleasure- glad you enjoyed! There was an article that stated that Porter's growth potential is limited. Looks like a great airline. Wow; banana bread. Impressive. I landed in Halifax from London in heavy ...

Porter Q400 YYT-YHZ

INTRODUCTION St. John’s to Halifax is a route I fly very often- usually with Air Canada. This time I decided to switch it up and give Porter a try. Porter is a Canadian airline operating out of Toronto City Airport (CYTZ). Their fleet consists exclusively of Bombardier Q400 aircraft and they fly to...

Re: Max winds recorded?

Sitting here in YYT today and it is chaotic- lived here my entire life and I've never witnessed winds like this. Absolutely astounding. Streetlights are off poles across the city, signs are knocked down- it's going to be one hell of a cleanup. Even the 2017 Brier (curling competition) going on here ...

Re: Air Canada reveals new corporate livery

If you want to see all the a/c (sans C Series) in the livery drawings are in this .pdf : https://www.aircanada.com/content/dam/aircanada/portal/documents/PDF/media/livery/illustrative_guide_en.pdf Is the Beech 1900 going away? It's not mentioned in this document. I do like the route map designs in ...

While it could do with some improvements, billboard titles as suggested earlier, overall I'm a fan! Awesome to see a modern take on a retro logo.

Re: PAL Airlines Dash 8 Across Newfoundland YJT-YDF-YYT

Thank you everybody for the positive responses and glad you all enjoyed :D Wow, so exotic. I thought this was Philippine Airlines and was confused as to why they'd be flying in Canada! Looks like a lovely airline and I enjoyed the photos. Thanks :) I figured I'd get that misconception  Glad you...

PAL Airlines Dash 8 Across Newfoundland YJT-YDF-YYT

BACKGROUND To celebrate summer arriving I decided to take a trip to my home in western Newfoundland. PAL Airlines, who very recently rebranded from Provicial Airlines, is an airline that does a lot of flying in and around the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Their fleet is a mixture of Dash 8 ...
