Re: TAP Changes Rumor

I checked with my internal contact and it is exactly like what is said above. The network team has been told to use the LR as much as possible as apparently Arik wants to provide coverage to all places. In an internal video, he said he wants to fly given Lisbon's strategic advantage. I was told they...

Yeah I think horrible management more than anything. Instead of trying to develop something unique they all were just chasing market share. It's like no one was watching their spending. Always moving towards the next goal not optimizing and perfecting what they have. Aero Mexico almost looks worse....

TAP Changes Rumor

Here is what people are telling me at TAP. What do we think? 1) For destinations: AGA, SCQ, PDL-YYZ, TLV, and DME have all moved to May 2021 2) For fleet: Rapid exit of ATR's and 320-ceos; heavy reliance on E90/E95 3) For product: New Premium Economy in the works across network, including all Europe...

Re: Did TP cancelled SCQ-LIS before even started it?

I have to agree with our fellow user from Santiago. Portugal is too small for a 2 hub operation and looking at the near-future prospects, people all over the country should be more worried if they'll have a job and food on the table rather than a direct connection to Milan. I followed this case on ...

Re: TAP Air Portugal's post COVID-19 crisis

The other issue now for TP is its reliance on the Brazil market. With COVID-19 there out of control, I cannot see TAP resuming any operations to Brazil for the foreseeable future, which would likely free up an A21N that would have gone to BEL. For the foreseeable future (most of the rest of NS20), ...

TAP says that it could lose up to 1,700 workers and more than 30 planes, reducing its fleet by 25% as part of restructuring. What routes are most likely to be abandoned? Are they talking about giving up wide-body, narrow-body, or both? No idea what routes will be given up. A 25% reduction in aircra...
