Re: A350 Production And Delivery Thread Part 17

Apparently there are some posters that think that Airbus should have changed their financial guidance from "at least 50 deliveries" to "at least 40 deliveries" to better reflect their performance of 49 deliveries. The same posters probably and at the time made a case of a 49 Pie...

Re: Will Airbus reach their 350 Delivery goal of 50 by the end of today

Airbus had a goal of 50 - 350 deliveries for 2016... This may be somewhat nitpicking, but Airbus set a target of "at least 50". So, Airbus didn't get to within 2% (1 delivery) of their target; they missed the lower bound of the range they were advertising publicly by 2%. Because Airbus ar...

Report that the A350-1000 first flight has been delayed from 22 Nov (tomorrow, Tuesday) to 24 Nov (Thursday). Wouldn't surprise me if it was due to weather - it's wet and windy across quite a bit of France today.

MSN 52 AerCap (ex-SriLankan) has also moved to the delivery center. I'm guessing AerCap doesn't have a confirmed customer yet (or at least one ready to fly it now), correct? @A350Blog reported that all three ex-SriLankan are going to China Southern Airlines: https://twitter.com/A350Blog/status/7977...

Re: A350 Production And Delivery Thread Part 17

That would make for eight different planes having their first flight in september. Not bad at all. Maybe fifty deliveries this year might be in reach after all. ...but only four deliveries. Airbus now need to deliver 25 aircraft in three months. That's half the year's deliveries in a quarter, or 8....

Re: Remote pax loading coming to SFO

I'd be utterly shocked if SFO tried to use those ramps for anything taller than a 737. I've been in Ambulift-style devices across the world. They can be rather noisy as a passenger, but they're super-effective and can get anywhere a catering truck can. I've not done a remote stand emplane or deplane...

That's a very weird missed approach There is certainly a reasonable explanation but it sure did frighten the population.
