RE: Former Obama Pilot Believes TWA 800 Was Shot Down

I was a TWA pilot when it happened, and I do know that the FBI would not let the NTSB see anything until they were finished with it.

I still believe that a missile brought 800 down, and nothing has changed my mind!

RE: Pilot Of Diverted Flight Buys Pax Pizza

In the mid 80's I had a cabin depressure at 35,000ft. Put the airplane on the ground at Ft. Wayne. Was not a TWA station. I bought all the pax breakfast and put it on my credit card. The chief pilot said they would reimburse me this time but said not to let it happen again. I didn't have to again, h...

RE: Boeing Says No To 757 Max Rumours

(I dont get the hate of the 757, most people who have flown in one liked the take off performance, it really is something else than a 737 or A320 take off. It is as close to a rocket as we ordinary slaves will get. It is a marvel of lift and power, sort of like a supercharged <acronym title="ATRAN A...

Boeing Says No To 757 Max Rumours

( The 757 is just an old aircraft,)

After flying the 757 when it was new at TWA, that makes me feel old....I guess I am!

It was one of my favorite airplanes......Oh well, I guess we got old together.....

RE: Northwest DC-7C?

As a side note, I flew the DC-7C as F/O in 1966/67 for Zantop Air Transport. We got them from PanAm, and flew them from the west coast to Nam. Good airplane, with touchy engines.
