USA Today says it has a steel and wooden frame, with wire mesh. 600 lbs of butter is then applied and sculpted. Two years ago the artist said the butter could be reused for 10 years.  <img src="http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/graphics/smilies/crazy.gif" width="15" height="15" borde...

RE: Alaska Air (SkyWest) Coming To OMA Nov. 7!

Awesome news for Eppley! I'm going to guess that it will use A2-4, though it has been a while since I used my old hometown airport. But Eppley's website still shows them as Delta assigned gates, and they are typically set up for regionals. Living in <acronym title="Oklahoma City - Will Rogers World ...

RE: Southwest Launches PenguinOne

Thanks for the clarification on N334SW. Southwest's Specialty Plane page was a little confusing. It said upon the retirement, would have made more sense to say with the retirement. Anyway it is a cool page, showing all the specialty planes, excluding the heritage planes. Here is the link: <a href="h...

RE: United May Expand A350 Order

Congrats to Airbus on the additional A350-1000 orders. Should fit well into United's fleet. So United will no longer has the A350-900 on order. Will the -1000 be the largest jet in United fleet, or does anyone think United might order the 777X? Airbus still plans on the -800 flying before the -1000?...

RE: KC-135 Crash In Kyrgyzstan

Heard about it this morning when I got to work. Very tragic.

From the pictures it looked like the gear were retracted. It does look like it could be an inflight breakup. I wonder if one of the terminal fittings failed.

Never got to see 8877 in person at Tinker. Last PDM was at San Antonio.

Having seen a 767 and two 737 at LAX a few weeks back, the new scheme is growing on me. However I think the winglets on the 737s and eventually A319/A321 are too blank. I think the logo would fill the void nicely.
