WN Lands At Wrong Airport (Part 1)

It was probably the same chimp that took over the controls from the FO last year and landed nose first. At least this time its able to fly away. Just Kidding Southwest fans dont report me. <img src="http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/graphics/smilies/stirthepot.gif" width="25" height...

UPS likes 18 wheelers so theyll stick with the 74s.... Now for real I probably have a very biased opinion as I live in <acronym title="Memphis - International (MEM / KMEM...

If They Don’t Allow Us In....EK CEO Threatens (Part 1)

I see nothing wrong with this statement, EK has 170+ aircraft on order alone with Airbus (380s and 350s). That is what is known as carrying a big stick. It's not like Airbus has no ties to the EU and the governments of countries it manufactu...

RE: UA & DL Have 767-400's, Do They Like Them?

There is a simple answer to this question, the 764 does what it was built and designed exactly for very well. However due to its fairly decent size, I feel most people look at it and say well it should be able to fly with the 332 or 333 some even say it should have similair performance to the 77E. W...

RE: Does $100 Gate Carry-on Make Sense 4 Airline?

Bare with me here since im not a customer and am veiwing this from my job stand point. I think this is a good idea because its a control factor. F9 has A319s, a lot of them, over half their fleet. Now this aircraft holds a lot of people for how shor...

RE: DFW-BOG - AA On A319

Its not the same type of service but our 319s also have 3 rows/18 seats of main cabin extra, which is 6 inches more leg room. Not a whole lot but on 2+ hour flights it helps.

If you look at Lion Air's track record you can clearly tell its their pilots not their aircraft that are the problem. Responsibility also falls back onto the Indonesian Directorate General of Civil Aviation for not keeping tabs on saftey and training.

Does anyone actually know if they park these planes manually or with a Light Bar system in MEL? It takes a lot of gate space to marshall in a 747 by hand, unless you have something very tall to stand up on. Wide bo...

RE: Why Doesn't Boeing Or Airbus Make A Regional Jet?

Its a highly competitive market with two dominant forces already running wild and free...Embraer in the 37-106 seat range and then Bombardier in the 50-86 range. Bombardier will go up to 108 and 130 pax with the CSeries program, someday. Also not to forget the good ole props, Q400 in the low 70's se...

RE: Clean Wing Policy - How Clean?

This is not a term taken lightly, however it is taken out of context. The term has nothing to do with cleanliness from dirt and grease. Just means clean from ice, snow, and even frost sometimes. Deicing fluid is generally heated and then pressure sprayed, the heat helps it to be applied and helps wit...

In MEM we have quite the show of ground handlers with the only quality one being DGS which most likely will soon be at outstation capacity I believe.
