Greece is rated Category 2 (Does Not Meet ICAO Standards) in FAA's International Aviation Safety Assessment Program (IASA)

OF COURSE, there is no problem with the 737-400 or the 737-200. I would love to have them in the fleet. But if OA wants to start new and be one of the TOP AIRLINES like it use to be when ONASIS had it then they will have to get a newer fleet.

If Axon takes olympic we can kiss goodbye the a340s and all the routes they did. If IAS takes it I believe it will be much better. It will be easier for Greeks outside of Greece too get jobs and not have to serve in the greek army or go to Greek school which is the requirements for being a OA pilot.

It didnt land in Athens (LGAV-SPATA)...it landed at Thessaloniki. I believe it was a charter flight. It should land at Athens but the new airport is very expensive.
