Re: Boston Aviation - 2024

YYZ is always a quagmire. Its high yielding route with a strong PDEW and looks like low-hanging fruit. Therefore, every couple of years DL or AA announce it, operate it 2-3x daily on RJs, and then quietly drop it 6-9 months later. On the Canadian end, it’s hard to compete for business travellers wi...

Re: Boston Aviation - 2024

Not sure about the WOW reference to Feb 2024, take out the extra day and it was only up about 5%, this would indicate a return to more normal/moderate growth levels coming out of the pandemic. Domestic IMO has not had any new station adds - so, your reference related to normal/moderate growth level...

DL BOS-HNL is obviously a retaliation to HA adding HNL-SLC a few weeks ago. DL notoriously defends their core hubs, and that’s what this is. A response. If both airlines stay, both lose $. The options I see used most often: Takeoff 9, landing 4R, heavy takeoffs 4R or 15R, occasional prop/Dash 8/RJ landing 4L and occasinal Cape Air takeoff ...

Re: Boston Aviation - 2023

This goes back to the conversation I opened up up above… BOS-LON has had a massive influx of capacity within the last year- AA/BA at 4x daily (with BA running the A380 again); DL/VS running 2x daily, UA running 1x daily with 46 J seats on their 767-300; B6 running 2x daily (48 new J seats) and Nors...

Re: Boston Aviation - 2023

With the AI buildup, do we see a BOS-DEL/BOM flight coming? I recently saw India-US O&D data published on this forum and BOS was top 10; I want to say maybe 6th on the list. I would think a BOS flight has to be in the cards given their fleet expansion. Also read an article that was maybe from a...

It is a significant amount of space though, more than most folks would think- they could most definitely fit in 10-15 gates. However, what you said is logical and I agree. Perhaps we could see an 8-10 gate expan...
