Mechanically speaking both companies make excellent aircraft. From conversations with pilots and airlines, I find that neither company is really much better than the other. Sorry, FedEx, I misread your post. I thought you said that SkyWest's planes were "pieces of junk," but you said that SkyWest's livery was "junk" instead.
For the record, I stand by my original post when I say that SkyWest is a great airline and I am proud to be a member of such a great team!
