I'm curious what the FAA has said about Covid vaccines and pilot's medical tickets?
I'm planning on getting a "jab" soon, but if Iwas a commercial pilot, I would want to
make damn sure I wouldn't risk my medical qualifications in any way.
What about Southwest ? Don't forget their interest in the 779s' LOL

I thought Hawaiian had deferred their 787 deliveries for a couple years?
Doesn't make sense to paint their 1st frame in full colors if she'll be
spending the next couple of years at VCV ?
I'm thinking when Southwest decides on a jet bigger than the Max8,
it'll be a NMA-5X , 7X or 9X and they will be one of the launch customers
How many Max 7's are already built for WN and ready for delivery once they're certified ?
Jump to postGreat news for the men and women at the Renton factory. They've been thru hell past couple of years,
they've earned some good news
The way undelivered Dreamliners are piling up in VCV,( 35-40? ) there may be more 787's
stored there than Max's before too much longer.

Seems contrary to current trends. Most airlines have been retiring as many aircraft as they can, while United decides to order more... they haven't retired as many aircraft as the other legacies either. What does United know that the others don't? Wonder how cheap they are getting these... especial...

Jump to postWhere do things stand with the Max 7 certification? Also, has the -10 started it flight test program? The MAX 7 has resumed certification test flight as of yesterday. The MAX -10 hasn't been seen in over 8 months at Renton and hasn't had its first flight. Appreciate the update. I suppose the Max 10...

I'm sure all of DY's Dreamliners will find new homes, but y'all are right in saying
this will put a dent in new Dreamliner orders for awhile
Hope to see these at DFW one day. DFW-BOS is awfully long flight to be stuck on a E-190
...and machinists were fired? Not yet? (Trying hard not to troll, just curious about employment for workers on this program in light of all the covid stuff) Yep. Triumph Group that made the fuselage panels started auctioning off equipment from its production line in late 2019, and started laying of...
Jump to postAFW would be better due to the number of households in the immediate area. And it seems more homes are going up in northern Tarrant County every day. Also , the traffic between that area and FTW is a nightmare most of the time, so I'm sure locals would prefer AFW. Thanks for your input on that. Now...
Jump to postI live right out by AFW and commercial flights would be nice. Of course you would have to build a passenger Terminal. A nice 5-10 gate terminal would suffice and then you could have Breeze and Allegiant out there. O'h and I was on an American Flight that got diverted to AFW because of bad thunderst...
Jump to postThe most logical move for Boeing would be consolidating everything ay KPAE.
With the 787 line moving to CAE and the 747 line winding down , there's more
than enough room to move 737 production up there as well as base the future NSA
line in the former 747 bays.
I think we'll see commercial flights out of Collin County Airport in McKinney
before any expansion of gates at KDAL.
I think Collin County could support a commercial terminal modeled after SNA's
Lord knows the population is large enough now.
Hell , Arlington, TX , a DFW suburb 15-20 minutes south of DFW Airport, had 4 people killed by celebratory gunfire on NYE. Arlington Police also confronted 3-4 guys firing an AK-47 into the air. The idiots responded by opening fire on the police. Thankfully they're bad shots, no officers were injured.

The 737 Max is the most scrutinized aircraft in service thus making it probably the safest. I've thought about this and I predict the MAX will become the hottest seller in 2021 and especially 2022 simply because it has been so heavily scrutinized and provides one of the only new Boeing aircraft for...

Looks like AA, in addition to A321-253NX N421UW being delivered from Hamburg today to DFW, also had another B-737-8 MAX N315SD, delivered to TUL. Lots of work for those DFW and TUL AMTs and Cabin Crews, prepping all those aircraft to go into service. These days, being busy at work is a wonderful th...
Jump to postWhat the heck? Did one of the pilots drop their sunglasses while taxiway? LOL
Jump to postOf course, Delta could also wait for AA to file Ch 11, then swoop in and take them over.

Cruel irony that the Congresscritters those of us in the industry are looking to
for stimulus extension haven't missed a paycheck since this effing pandemic started.
Be interesting to see what effect if any this has on Southwest's discussions with their unions
Jump to postI think not much has changed since SWA pushed out the 737-7, before the crashes. Not sure who the stalking horse here, the popular A220-300 or no customer 737-7. I wonder if AA wishes it had a " do over card" on their decision to pour billions of $$ into their giant new corporate campus that dominates the skyline at the south entrance to DFW? I've noticed there is a 10-12 story hotel /dorm building going up near the conference center, construction ...

Those of us in the airline/travel industry are hanging on by a thread. I'm convinced without additional stimulus from Uncle Sam, we're gonna lose a major US carrier in the next 12 months.
