Re: Paris Air Show 2019: Airbus News and Orders Thread

I think the VS 339 order makes sense as a transatlantic workhorse. I've flown their 789 from BOS to LHR and from JFK to LHR. I enjoyed both premium economy and the upper class experience. It seems that VS has adapted Delta's rationale that the 789 is overkill for those routes. A 787-10 could have wo...

It would certainly be a change in strategy from what AA is doing now. Which isn't to say that couldn't happen, but AA seems focused on their hubs. If they were going to launch TATL, why would they shut down all of their local northeast feeder routes?

Because they are primarily destinations. Focus Cities are markets where the Delta wants to be the premier business airline. The types of customers that Delta is targeting live in places like AUS, BNA, SJC, BOS, NYC, LAX, SEA, ATL but they travel to LAS, TPA, MCO and MSY. Does that make sense? I don...

Re: Delta transitions BOS to Hub status, names SJC, BNA, and AUS as new focus cities

To me Delta is redefining the term focus city and applying it liberally to get some free press. Get back to me when they start announcing routes that would suggest a real focus city. RDU and CVG fit the definition in my mind, but I haven't seen anything apart from larger Sky Clubs to suggest a DL f...
