I quite often build my trips around a certain airline or aircraft that I’d like the fly, then again I do write my own trip report blog and I guess it wouldn’t be as interesting if I was just taking direct EasyJet flights all the time.

Nice TR, I'm a little gutted I missed out on these 77W flights within Europe, although I think it is sometimes kicking around between GVA-ZRH still, may have to keep an eye out. I did GVA-FRA last year on Swiss J on the usual Airbus and enjoyed it, so I imagine the 777 would have been even better.

Super and informative TR, interesting so see KLM would not serve hot drinks on a 45min flight, I flew FRA-AMS earlier this year with them which was about similar duration and was able to get a coffee.

As said above, parking the aircraft into wind will help reduce the amount that the aircraft is blown around, This is something that some airlines will request, some also like extra fuel to be added to act as a form of ballast as well.

What you'll tend to find in these situations is that the staff will be TUPE'd across from one company to the other, so it's ally of the same guys dealing with the flights. So the service probably won't change a massive amount unless the SOP's from the two companies differ massively.

SAS seem to have a lot of regional partners, they remind me of Air France before they merged Britair, Regional and Airlinair into Hop! Perhaps SAS should consider doing the same.
