LH is naturally playing a key role in the European consolidation. Anything else would be quite surprising. There is however enough competition in Europe so that one cannot speak of “Lufthansa monopolizing Europe”.

We are truly European :) I love it. Some time ago I flew Ryanair from CGN to TXL ... the aircraft and crew came from OPO, and it was wonderful to fly German domestic with a crew from Portugal .

There actually is a shortcut to bypass the shops at STN - just ask for it if you can’t see it. But yes i don’t understand why there are no gate screens past the main hall.

So glad that after Brexit there is no more need to go to the UK and having to deal with decaying 3rd world infrastructure.

Cockpit doors locked isolating pilots from passengers and cabin crew. I remember being able to watch landings from aisle seats through the open cockpit door, pilots were totally accessible and kids making regular trips to sit in the cockpit in flight.

Many flights from EU to South America are indeed daytime, f.e. LH FRA-BOG, IB MAD-CCS/GRU/GIG .... seems to be nothing out of the ordinary
