Re: St. Louis Aviation Thread - 2020

Gotcha. I was looking for STL related content that he was repurposing. On a side note, W1W debt only has 10 more years before it is paid off. That will be a big sigh of relief for sure for Lambert. I think I read that they repay about $78M each year. You'll find that too haha. Really good news on t...

Re: OAG Changes 10/8/2017: VX Gone, Big SJU Cuts, AS Suspends PDX-MCI/STL for Winter

Cutbacks are related to the Embraer 175. There were multiple cuts last OAG report too and all were operated with the E175. E175 routes are being cut due to Horizon's pilot/crew shortage. Major Horizon routes that can't be flown due to the crew shortage are being flown by Skywest E175s that flew to ...

Those PDX suspensions are 175 flying I believe, unless they've been upgauged and I didn't notice. Probably being pulled back to reinforce SEA in an attempt to stem the bleeding at QX. More like pulled back to start new routes at SFO/other CA airports. BUR and AUS have gone mainline though. Cutbacks...

So this isn't a perfect indicator either. Nope. CMH carried just under 1.7M on AA in 2016 when regionals are factored in. They only get mainline to DFW, LAX, and PHX. What's interesting is, much like IND, AA has moved past DL into second in terms of market share at CMH. Just for comparison, AA at I...

SMH, it's a bunch of regional jet flights to hubs to fill frequency. That alone doesn't mean it's a strong base. Heck, BNA is bigger than DTW and STL and you don't see AA jumping to start TATL flights from here and this market is growingfast! Common sense is your friend here. DTW will NOT have LHR ...

AA is NOT going to fly to LHR from DTW. Just stop thinking that first and foremost. The current AA isn't the type to do TATL UNLESS it's from a very well established base. DTW is not for them. One thing I noticed from the better-run airlines is their music selection. It's part of an attention-to-detail mentality that many airlines overlook, and a sign of good management of the air passenger experience. I know a.netters don't typically associate American (AA) as a "better-run airline...
