A SBA area media site is saying their sources indicate WN is looking at a more California-centric schedule for that airport. Their source says SBA is considering routes such as Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, San Diego, and Las Vegas. We will see if someone is speculating or actually knows a little....

I would assume airlines are looking at routes they can fill planes even if it's with low yield leisure travel. I doubt that in today's environment any airline will purposely lose more money to "get back at a competitor." LGA/FL in the winter time is a good bet for filling a plane with cap...

Right now the airlines have got to be doing a ton of war games scenarios around capacity plans for summer 2020. I’m just hoping a full service carrier will decide to build SJC versus or as an alternative to driving to SFO. There are lots of people who drive to SFO but live, work or travel closer to SJC. Why not? Would it really kill WN to have a few banks of connections at a central location like DEN? They could connect most of not all of their US cities, plus some in Mexico, with only one stop.
