Re: Turkish Aviation August 2019

Yes, ok. Nevertheless, planes still have to go through this weird U type taxiway to reach 35l or 34 runways. What's the chances for a more efficient taxiway structure for all plane rather than short cuts for single planes when 35r is not busy? I am trying to figure out what it would take in order to...

Re: Turkish Aviation August 2019

Hi guys,

what kind of modifications to runways and taxiways would be possible to avoid long time times (e.g. avoiding u taxiways)? Do you think it is still feasible to make modifications to improve taxi times? Are there examples from other airports in the past how this was implemented?

Re: Turkish Aviation July 2019

Just checking flightradar24: Why is ATC so massively using 34L rather than allowing for take offs from 35L? I keep observing this for a long time that while 2-3 aircraft wait for takeoff clearance shortly before 34L and only a single aircraft is on 35L. Does not make sense to me. Happy to get more i...

Look for TK to launch service to Xi'an and Xiamen in China. China just authorized additional service points as a result of Sichuan Airlines and China Southern launching new IST services. Authorized weekly frequencies between countries will rise to 60+ in 2-years. Also interestingly Chinese airlines...

Re: TK after new Istanbul airport

While new destinations are exciting as well, I'm most curious how they are going to structure their operation: * Are they going into wave/bank system? * How many waves/banks would they need/desire? * Will they (thus) increase frequencies on existing routes? * How about phased operation? With this I...

Great result with respect to L/F and pax figures!

I take it with a grain of salt though, since TK is massively involved in the charter business in AYT this year. They probably achieve close to 100% L/F on those ops while hardly making a penny in that business.
What are your thoughts?
