Re: Who decides which aircraft gets their preferred altitude?

A question that arose while watching FR24 this morning. If two aircraft request the same altitude on a long haul flight (e. g. for the NAT tracks or other crowded airspace), who decides which of the two actually has their wish come true? Do airlines try to game this process? Or can it happen that c...

Can Boeing offer the 777F to the USAF? Absolutely! Cessna can also offer a C-172, Toyota can offer the new 4Runner, etc. That’s the beauty of private enterprise and government contracts: corporations can always offer, and the govt can always pass Would the USAF really be interested in purchasing a ...

Tje A400 is not exactly quiet. It is by far the loudest plane that flies over here. Only the occasional Antonov is louder but the A400 comes over every day at 32,000ft.

The CF34 engine on the E170/190 is really not up the the task, neither is the CFM56 on the 737 NG. Nothing on the A320 is suitable, I admit to not being sure about the CRJ, but doubt it. Yes the engines can do it, but not 18 times every day for their entire service life. Why is this and how do you ...

If you're thinking about American Eagle Flight 4184, the de-icing boots have since been modified to reach further up the top of the wing and the old boots are no longer allowed to be installed; the ATRs are allowed to fly in icing conditions, and they do so safely. I picked up on the roselawn hint ...

That is how we do it. If one of us makes a determination that a post needs to be deleted then we speak directly to the person. Weather it be nice or in some cases not so nice.

I understand you do not want to do it that way. And that shows you are not doing it correctly. With all due respect.
